2000 Ford Windstar LX 3.8
2000 Ford Windstar LX Description
2000 Ford WindstarMechanic's SpecialNo Reserve
I am the second owner of this van. Bought it in 2002 with 30 something thousand miles. I have a clear Tennessee title in hand. The van is on its third transmission. (Which is not surprising if you know these vans.). It has the original engine. Oil has always been changed regularly with Mobil 1 full synthetic. Van was never wrecked in the time we owned it. The van spent its life in the South and has no rust.
This van served us well for many years. But now my kids are grown and have their own cars. Don't need it anymore. With a little work, would make a great point A to B car. Or take out the seats and use as a work van. It does have a trailer hitch and easily pulls a small trailer.
Why am I saying it is a mechanic's special? It has been parked several months and will not start. Battery seems to be totally dead. Alternator is only a couple of years old. When I stopped driving the van, the only issues were a leak somewhere in the power steering system and the passenger window not working. It was due for a tune up, which is especially true after it has been sitting. Someone with a little skill could fix a few things, blow the dust out, and have a cheap, serviceable van.
If you want to use this as a parts car, all glass is good, only has one small dent on the passenger's side above the front tire. The trailer hitch is bolted on and could be removed.
Vehicle is parked at a residence 15-20 minutes east of Nashville Intl Airport. It is offered As Is, where it is. Buyer would need to have it towed or trailered.
If you have questions, please ask. Van needs to be picked up within 3 days of end of auction. Cash only at time of pickup.
Thanks for looking.
