2005 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Description
Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the nearly 80 photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2005 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 4x4. The Expedition is a full sized SUV based off of the rugged and reliable Ford F-150 truck. I would rate the exterior of this Expedition to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a beautiful truck. She is finished in a dark brown and tan two tone exterior over matching tan leather interior, which is a good color combination. The dark brown finish has a deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. The worst I can point out on the exterior of this truck is a small rust bubble under the paint on the tail gate, which is very common as these trucks age. Otherwise, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior or this Expedition. All of the trim and cladding are present and show well. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a matching set of Michelin's with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior of this Expedition Eddie Bauer to also be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age throughout the interior and are not excessively worn. A set of floor mats is included, too. The dash and headliner are clean. The leather seats are soft, supple and comfortable throughout the interior. Both front seats are power operated, heated and cooled. The seats show very well throughout the interior. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and operated through the factory NAV / Entertainment screen. There are steering wheel audio controls, too. Additionally, this Expedition has the optional factory rear entertainment package. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner will freeze you out of this truck. There is rear heating and air conditioning, too. Access to the 3rd row is simple and there is ample room back there for most passengers. Cargo area is very good for an SUV of this size. When not in use, the 3rd row folds flat at the touch of a button to open up a very impressive amount of storage room. When you need the 3rd row back up, the rear seats raise back up with the touch of a button, too. Pride in ownership shows throughout this well optioned Expedition. A full set of books and manuals, as well as a full set of Nav discs are included. Mechanically, this Expedition appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 5.4L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. You can feel some age in the front ball joints over harsh surfaces. However, you don't feel it on decent roads and normal driving conditions. The suspension feels tight and well sorted, otherwise. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. She feels smooth and makes good power. The check engine light was on when this Expedition came in. The codes present were "exhaust cam b over advanced", "exhaust cam b over retarded" and an oxygen sensor code. She seems to get around just fine. I've personally put the last 150+ miles on this Expedition with zero issues or complaints. She hits the road as straight as an arrow. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts perfectly with zero issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
