2000 Ford F-150 Lariat Extended Cab Pickup 4-Door Description

2000 F-150 Lariat Extended Cab 4x4
White exterior with Tan leather interior captain seats

This is a Great Running Ford F150 Lariat 4X4 Four Door Extra cab V8 5.4L. It has a 6 inch fabtech lift with 20 XDs and 35x12.50 tires - working Heat & Air Conditioning. The Body has your Normal Scratches and dings, but is in pretty good condition for a 2000 model pickup. It is a running daily driver (60 miles RT interstate) with current emissions. It has no lights error lights or check engine lights. One of the toughest engines I have enjoyed driving. However, it is getting old, I am tired of climbing inside, not having the smoothest ride with the lift and tires and it isn't the ideal car seat carrier. It currently has just under 233k on it, but it is generally driven about 60 miles a day, 5 days a week.

Repairs and/or Maintenance over the last two years:

  • New Radiator & Water Pump
  • New tie rods
  • New idler arm
  • New front shocks
  • Turn signal lever
  • Also have some new upper or lower arms and ball joints - i replace top or bottom but other was fine so didn't replace but kept in box. You can have those with the truck if you are a DIY person.
  • replaced transmission and main line around 200k with a used transmission with 180k on it. Runs great and shifts through all gears just fine.
  • plugs and coil packs

Known issues, needed minor repairs:
  • wipers work on high, but not on the lower various speeds
  • inside electric door locks don't lock or unlock doors (works sometimes on driver but not passenger)
  • rear sliding window leaks a little during hard rain or storms
  • tires will soon need replaced (front just shy of 50% remaining - rear around 25% remaining)
  • Rear shocks need replaced (you will feel a bumpy or rough ride should you ever drive over 85)
  • various interior paint chips (mainly lower center of console - below radio)
  • Seats are pretty good for 2000, but driver is starting to show small tears at stitching and heavy wear throughout
  • passenger side window tint has large bubbles
  • one small ding on drive side rear quarter-panel(just before and below gas cap)
  • small dings on tailgate
  • paint chipping on edge of wheel wellfront driver side mainly)
  • pullout cup holder gets stuck when pushed in
  • odometer light flickers out from time to time due to a presumably loose wire as it eventually comes back on
The tpms sensor was changed with the shift level as the truck was not starting in park. Had to start in neutral. After replacing the TPMS, lever and verifying the column (internal), it was identified the cable is stretched and needs replaced. I have tightened and adjusted the cable to ensure a start on park or neutral as it should start, However, aggressivelychanging gears will stretch it quicker requiring repair or eventually leave you having to adjust the cable and/or sensor or start in neutral. There is the occasionaltime I have to wiggle the placement of the level, but it always starts and is of no urgent concern. However, keep in mind that this is likely the most concerning repair or maintenanceneeded on the truck. I also have the original tpms sensor that you can have with the vehicle. I changed it with the level, bu didn't change the cable. Of course, the issue ended up being the loose cable.
The vehicle runs great and I can't think of anything else to disclose that doesn't come along with buy a vehicle 15+ years old. If you have any questions, concerns or are local and would like to check the vehicle out please let me know.
