2001 Ford Mustang Convertible Description

You are looking at a 17 year old time capsule. This is a 1345 mile, one owner Saleen S281. The elderly owner just passed away, purchased from his estate, on an original Michigan "A" title. This is number 200 with the original bumper decal intactwih dash and firewall tags from Saleen to confirm. The Saleen club website shows that 223 convertibles were produced in 2001, not certain of the accuracy as there is another 2001 S281 for sale with number 245....?

Battery replaced, fresh Mobil 1 oil change and new front rotors. The original Pirelli P7000 with build code "2300”, lots of tread but these tires are 17 years old. As a survivor we felt the original tires were worth keeping on the car. As a driver you would want to replace, as a hobby/show worth keeping original.

The color combo of triple white with black carpets gives this Saleen a lot of eye-ball. Minimal blemishes on this car: the driver's side Saleen lower door stripe is partially delaminating; a scuff on the front bumper; the chrome wheels show some pitting on the inside behind the spokes. White top is clean and looks like it has rarely been lowered, boot cover like new. The front spoiler is perfect. Interior is spotless showing no wear, there is a cheapo compass on the dash which we did not remove. Original Mustang owner's manual still sealed in the plastic sleeve. Seats look like they have never been sat in; floor mats look new; no scuffs on the lower door panels. Power top operates perfectly as do all the power windows and locks. Only one key and fob.

A rare example of a Mustang with the Saleen cache and performance. These are supercharged and were quick in the day. With less than 100 miles per year, this is virtually a brand new 17 year old car. NADA values this car at $32,000.00.
