1998 Ford Ranger Description

Here is your chance to buy an all electric Ford Ranger in excellent condition with another identical truck for parts at one price. This is everything I know and I am a million miles from being an expert.
1) I bought them both at an estate auction.2) I was told by the auction house that the complete vehicle was running as recently as a year to a year and a half ago.3) I believe all the lead acid batteries are still in the compartment but I haven't checked.4) Vehicle #1 is titled in California.5) The parts vehicle is titled in Arizona.6) I was told some of the parts that are missing were used to keep the first vehicle running.7) There are 20+ NiMi batteries that may be salvageableor may be worthless.8) Both vehicles were part of a large collection of electric vehicles that were to possibly be used to transport visitors to and from Zion national park here in Utah.9) Both vehicles have some Utah red sand from use in the area that I am not able to blow out or vacuum not being able to drive them to a car wash.10) Truck #1 has 13,700 original miles (California title).11) Truck #2 has 11,800 original miles. (Arizona Title).
That's all I know so far. All the batteries may be dead and worthless due to lack of recent charging. I don't know this for fact but I've been told this is a possibility. It might also be that the first vehicle might take a charge and run fine, I cant say since I don't have a charger to test it. I was also told there are lighter, more powerful battery modifications out there that would reduce the number needed to run these vehicles. I believe the mod will also increase the distance between charges.
This might turn out to be a fun project for the right person. I believe there are enough parts between the 2 to make one running vehicle and keep it on the road for many years. Again, I must say I am not an expert. Please do your own research. I suspect anyone who is seriously looking at these knows way more than I do. Please email me here with questions.
Vehicles are sold "as is" with no warranties whatsoever. They must be picked up here in southern Utah. There are no returns.
