2002 FORD CROWN VICTORIA P71 NATIONAL SECURITY AGENCY CAR

This is a car for those who truly appreciate the Ford Police Crown Victoria P71!I purchased this car at a huge US government General Services Administration (GSA) auction in Maryland in October 2006. The car had 21,549 actual miles. It was a street appearance package and everybody wanted the car; and the bidding went sky high! Because the car was only four years old with super-low miles, I ended up paying almost retail price.

I have treated this car with love and affection, and have actually driven it only sparingly. It now has less than 52,500 highway miles.

This is a Crown Victoria P 71 with the street appearance package. The interior is a very nice blue fabric. The front seat is a bench divided in two with center armrests. The two halves adjust individually; driver seat is power. Very comfortable. The interior shows very minimal wear.

This car came from the super-secret National Security Agency (NSA) based in Fort George Meade Maryland. I was able to determine this because of a document I found in the car and by contacting a Ford dealer in Maryland where the car had been serviced. The Ford service manager disclosed to me that the car was in fact from the NSA and said "it may have been a chauffeured car." This unclassified NSA document comes with the car. This means the car was never abused, only driven locally around Ft. George Meade, MD.

This P71 was originally all blue. In February 2010 I had to dig the car out of a giant snow bank after a major blizzard and ended up scratching the finish on the hood, trunk and doors. Since it had some other door dings and scratches, I decided to have it repainted in October 2011. This was done professionally by a major body shop with the bumpers, lights and door handles removed and everything fixed. I had it painted a beautiful metallic silver. So the door jams and interior are blue, but the exterior is a gorgeous silver metal flake! There are no door dings or scratches now on this finish. Windows tinted to the max allowed in Virginia. Spare tire appears new.

The car has two unity spotlights. There are some minor defects on the front interior dashboard where the NSA removed their radios. This car comes with a Pioneer radio CD/MP3 player with USB port. Also installed is a cobra CB radio with frequency scan. Also comes with professionally installed Uniden BCT8 scanner with BearTracker scanner warning system with 800 MHz Trunk Tracker III, set up to scan police & highway patrol frequencies. The Uniden BCT8T scanner information states: "The Uniden BearTracker is a sophisticated, multi-band highway communication system that responds to radio waves emitted from special secondary transmitters installed on most highway patrol vehicles across the United States. BearTracker is preprogrammed to alert you both audibly and visually to the presence of highway patrol units within a three-mile radius, even if they're not using radar." Please note this is not a radar detector.

There are two antennas on the rear deck: one is a 52 inch whip antenna that flows back in a graceful arc at highway speeds. It looks really cool!

If you know about the P71, you know this car is set up for rough use and abuse by police departments. This P71 comes with a powerful 4.6 L 8 cyl police engine, a heavy-duty frame, heavy duty police suspension, extra oil cooler, heavy duty steel wheels and heavy duty brakes. It has a calibrated police speedometer up to 140 mph.

This is not a police car run into the ground and beat to death by a department and then kicked out when it is used up. This silver P71 is a creampuff. Runs and drives perfect. No noises, no leaks, no rattles, no shakes, no check engine lights. AC is "Arctic cold." Very good rubber.

You will be proud to drive it. You can easily enjoy many thousands of trouble free miles in this beautiful car! Can be seen near Winchester, Virginia.

I have found that this car has almost "magical properties." When you're driving on a four lane highway in the left lane, cars ahead seem to "magically" pull over and let you pass! While driving this car you will need to wave at the police officers! They will think you are one of them!

This car is beautiful and trouble free, however I am selling it "as is" with no warranty. After payment, it might be possible to pick up buyer at Dulles International Airport near Washington DC.
