1966 Ford Mustang Description

1966 Ford Mustang
1966 Ford Mustang

Allow me to introduce you to “Lucy”. This 1966 Ford Mustang was professionally built by Full Scale Hot Rods & Customs out of Ventura, Ca. to be a straight, solid and good looking Mustang and more importantly a RELIABLE daily driver. But, the story doesn’t end there. The owner of Full Scale Hot Rods & Customs built this car for his daughter. As I'm sure most people understand, a father builds a car that is safe and reliable for his then teenage daughter! She owned, named, loved and drove this car for about 10 years, before offering it for sale now. The build is now about 10 years old as is no longer in show condition. It’s now a head turning weekend driver!

This is a great opportunity to purchase a well built, turn key classic Mustang that looks great and that has already had a ton of money thrown into it. It is turn key, ready to enjoy.

This Pony features a 302 V8 out of a later model 5.0L Mustang, backed by a C4 Automatic Transmission. Both were rebuilt around 20k miles ago. Stock 8” rear differential in the rear. A 4v intake manifold and 4v carburetor were added. The car was treated to the necessary power options: Power Steering and Power Brakes with Discs in the Front, Drums in the Rear as well as a dual pot brake master cylinder for increased safety. The car was given custom dual exhaust that exits a GT Style Rear Valance through GT Style Exhaust Tips, to complete the look.

The Mustang was custom painted and still looks great, however do expect some minor imperfections due to time and use. Still an excellent looking Mustang that turns heads. Much of the chrome and trim was either new or refurbished at the time of the build.

Inside, you’ll find that the car was completely redone. All metal was properly prepped and painted the matching exterior color. The soft trim and upholstery still look and feel like new. The gauge cluster, dash plastic and dash top were all replaced. An Aftermarket Mustang AM/FM Stereo with MP3 player hook up and kick panel speakers were also added. A Hump Hugger console, Mustang style steering wheel and Autometer Gauges round out the interior upgrades.

The window rollers and door latches were replaced, as was the weatherstripping and window felts. The car was completely rewired under the dash.

Tons of odds and ends were replaced when it was built. The time and money was invested and this car couldn't be built for anything near the asking price.

No major rust issues noted, no major leaks. Very clean and straight. This is a great weekend driver for someone that doesn't care if a 50 year old car is numbers matching or not, but would rather have fun cruising a Classic Mustang.

Don’t wait until the end of the auction to discuss a purchase of this beautiful ride! It may not last that long! We sell our vehicles through many venues, including our own website. As you can see by our feedback, we are NOT regular eBay sellers pumping out high volumes of tired, seen and flipped vehicles. Our sellers are honest, the vehicles we represent are high quality and our customers and contacts are repeat buyers. We do not usually use eBay, because we don’t have to. But we understand that eBay is widely used, and it can be a good venue to meet new customers and clients.
