71 Mustang Convertible with 429 CJ Ram Air(Not Original Motor)
1971 Ford Mustang Description
1971 Mustang Convertible. Triple Black with black stripes. Originally a no option convertible but all the options were added when putting this car back together. You can see from the pics that this car was taken down to nothing and then assembled using NOS parts when possible. The car was finished years ago but unfortunately I haven't had the time to drive it so it mostly just sits in the garage. The 429 CJ engine is not original to this car but it came from a very low mileage 71 Mustang that was parked in 1973. The engine was taken apart, gone over and assembled with roller parts by a local engine builder documenting all the clearances, openings, etc. The C6 transmission was built by Phoenix transmission, the 9inch differential is supposed to have the correct date code and has a Detroit TruTrac with 3:50 gears which makes for great mileage compared to what they usually get. Close ratio steering. Inside and outside of the passenger compartment have been sprayed with Lizard Skin both heat and sound control from the firewall to the tail lights, also the underside of the fenders, the inside of the doors and trunk area are sprayed. The frame for the power convertible top has been taken apart, all bent parts replaced, painted and redone with a new cloth top and glass factory tinted window added. Running horse floor mats, AM/FM radio with hidden inputs for USB and MP3 and a hidden antennaWorking Ram Air uses the working flaps in the hood openings and an air cleaner custom adapted to fit with the fuel injection rails to look original. The flaps in the hood openings open when the gas pedal is pressed to the floor and colder air goes straight to the engine. Dual exhaust with factory hp exhaust manifolds and Magnaflow mufflers, full instrumentation with tach, odometer trip reset, and center gauges, 6 piston Wilwood front disc brakes with rear drum. The door handles, door key openings and trunk key are shaved which now use the remote control. The interior is the Mach 1 style with console. Classic Air air conditioning using factory original a/c outlets, power windows with factory tint, variable speed windshield wipers. 18" front and 20" rear Foose Legend rims with custom black and chrome finish. Michelin Pilot Sport tires with tire pressure monitors to let you know if the air in the tires are low. Mass-Flo fuel injection was tuned by Murillo Motorsports in San Antonio. The car has been sitting and only gets driven a few times a year. Lets find it a good home.

It needs a few adjustments here and there like the windows but everything is there and it runs and drives fine. The red spark plug wires in the pictures have been replaced with new Ford blue ones.
