This 1929 Ford Roadster was built by famed traditional car builder, Vern Tardel in Santa Rosa California. It is all Henry Ford original steel with no rust on an original 1932 Ford V-8 frame with the original V-8 cross member.
As many period correct parts that could be found were used, almost all coming from Vern's personal collection. It was finished in 2000. The rear end is an original culver city Halibrand V-8 quick change, which is an open drive model. The transmission is a 1939 top loader converted to open drive using parts from a 1948 Ford F-1 truck transmission.
The engine has just been rebuilt approximately 2 to 300 miles ago. It is a 3 3/8 bore by a 4 1/8 inch stroke making it a 296 cubic inch flathead and is super super strong.
I am listing this car for my friend. When the car was finished, he flew out to Santa Rosa from Indiana and he and Vern drove it cross country back to Indianapolis in 2000 to attend the good guys run.
I could go on and on about this car, but I hate to type, so I can be contacted for additional info at 260-433-6954.This car was built by one of the best traditional flathead car builders in the country so don't miss out!!
Please no trades and no text messages.
I have been asked how the car runs. The car starts stops runs and drives perfect as you would expect from a build by Vern. You can fly in and we will pick you up at the airport and you can drive it home and have a blast doing it.
