2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Description

Hello eBayers!

I am selling one of my prize possessions… my 2008 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor.

This is one of the nicest, lowest mileage Crown Victoria’s available anywhere. It has a beautiful black exterior, with charcoal grey cloth plush seats, and full carpeting.

Unlike most of the police package Crown Victoria’s on eBay, this car does not have high mileage or high idle hours and has not been abused and trashed by a police department.

It has less than 34,000 miles on it, only 145 idle hours, and it drives like it is brand new.

That being said, this is a USED car. The car has its share of dents, scratches, nicks, etc. I have done my best to show all of these blemishes so that there will be no surprises for the buyer. If you live locally (Bay Area, California), you are welcome to come see the car in person and drive it.

While the car does have some blemishes, they are only noticeable from up close. I get compliments on this car constantly, and it looks great overall. Please see all the up-close photos below. Also, please note that none of the Crown Vics on eBay show these close up photos.

This car was originally an FBI car. I purchased it about 18 months ago with 22,000 miles on it. I am a supervisor with a Bay Area police department, and I used this vehicle to commute to work. During the last 18 months I have put about 10,000 miles on it, commuting on the freeway. (This thing parts traffic like nothing else… People clear out when they see you in their rear-view mirror).

I have driven hundreds of Crown Victoria’s, and this is by far the nicest one. It always starts up without hesitation, the steering and suspension are tight, and the gear selector is firm as it should be. (In comparison to the cars that I drive on patrol, most of which have high mileage and have been abused by city driving).

Ford no longer makes the Crown Victoria’s, so this is your opportunity to own a piece of American history, and one of the most solid, reliable automobiles ever made. (It was also the last body-on-frame car in production, which is part of the reason for its durability and dependability). There’s a reason why these cars have been the go-to choice for law enforcement and taxi companies for the last two decades.

This particular Crown Victoria has the P71 police package, which consists of a firmer, heavy duty suspension, heavy duty alternator, upgraded brakes, wheels, and tires, etc. (If you are unfamiliar with the P71 package you can read more details on Wikipedia).

This Crown Vic also had the Street Appearance Package. It comes with full wheel-covers, in addition to the classic silver hubcap covers, that have been the trademark look of police cars for years. It also came with the civilian-style silver/chrome grill. I replaced that with the police-issue black honeycomb grill, and I will include both with the vehicle.

When I purchased the car I put faux-leather seat covers on it, to protect the original velour seats. (The original seats are still in excellent shape). I also installed a leather steering wheel cover. (The steering wheel underneath is in great shape). It has the original factory carpeting and floor mats, and I also added a set of heavy-duty WeatherTech floor mats, which are included with the car.

The car is equipped with a Code 3 arrow stick in the rear deck, (Form-fitted for the Crown Vic, and concealed by the tinted windows when not in use). The arrow-stick is controlled by a Federal Signal Signal-Master panel. There is also a Federal Signal 80K amp in the trunk, with a PA microphone and air-horn button in the cabin. It has wig-wag headlights, and concealed red and blue LED emergency lights in the factory taillights and front corner lights.

All emergency equipment will be disconnected prior to sale, unless you provide proof of active membership in Police/Fire/EMS service.

If you are a First Responder (Police/Fire/EMS), please contact me after placing your bid!

I REALLY hate to sell this car, because I know I will never find another one like it. I just bought two new cars though, so my wife says this one has to go.

This car is the ultimate commuter car, road trip vehicle, or collector car. These cars are getting harder and harder to find, especially with low miles and in good shape.

This would be the perfect car for someone in public service, or a security company. Or, for someone who wants to own a piece of American memorabilia.

My local Ford dealership performed an oil and filter change, along with a brake fluid change, and new rear brakes. I also had a multi-point inspection performed at the dealership when I purchased the car, which it passed with flying colors.

This car is ready to drive anywhere, and I would not hesitate to jump in and drive it across the country right now.

I have over $20,000 invested in this car, and my reserve is set substantially below that.

LOGISTICS:

The car is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early.

If you want to fly in to a local airport, (San Francisco, Oakland, or San Jose), I will be happy to coordinate with you and pick you up.

If you would like to have the car shipped, I am happy to assist with the arrangements once you pick a company.

A $1,000 payment is due within 24 hours of the auction ending. The remainder of the balance is due via Cashier’s Check within seven (7) days of the auction ending.

NOTE- The license plates are not included with the vehicle.

The mileage and idle hours are accurate, but may change slightly as I still drive the car occasionally.

I have made every attempt to include each detail here, but if I forgot anything, please don't hesitate to ask.

Please see the photos below, check my feedback, and bid with confidence!
