2003 Ford Excursion 7.3L DIESEL Description

2 owner Excursion. First had for 56,312 miles, second until now. The title is clear with no liens. I have printed our service records going back to 2009, can obtain back to 2006 from garage that has maintained it since then. Here are some of the most recent items worked on.

3/12/2015: New fuel filter, cam position sensor, exhaust pressure control valve, fuel injector pressure regulator

7/11/2014: New front axel and shaft u-joints, new tires, alignment

12/19/2014: New rear brakes, rotors and calipers

1/20/2012: New Alternator

9/22/2010: New front shocks

4/16/2009: New ball joints

Starting back to front Inside of truck: You will see in the picture of the back that there was a professional box built into the back of the truck to mount audio / visual equipment. 1st owner went over the top with the system, but some of it is not hooked up and some is. There is a DVD player, Sirius satellite receiver, Alpine amp. Back interior is in pretty good shape. Working factory overhead DVD. Front driver seat lower leather has a big split on the seam. Passenger side ok, but some light cracking on both. Alpine flip out DVD/CD Deck with Navigation and rear camera that comes on when you put it into reverse. Viper security system installed, do not have any instructions on this or the rest of the audio components. Told it has remote start, but again, no instructions so do not know for sure. It will take someone with experience on these things to sort it out. The Viper FOB unlocks the driver door only. Might do others, but not sure. Driver door unlocks just the driver and rear door. I can see the other lockswiggle on the other doors, but they do notpop upautomatically. Unlock fine manually, not sure if it has something to do with the security system. There is a brake controller mounted up front, know nothing about those. Carpet ok and has mats back to front. AC blows cold.

Back to front outside of truck: Rear back up sensors not functional, did not diagnose. Has what I would call normal imperfections here and there, little dings, scratches, but no rust on the outsideand glossy finish. There is a small spot on the passenger rear down by the molding that looks like it was hit by a door or something. No dent, but the paint is chipped. Front of the vehicle was backed into on a construction site with a trailer, so the upper black metal portion of the bumper is dented and has surface rust. The under portions look ok and the fog lights are fine. The left most insert of the grill is missing. I would replace the upper bumper and entire grill, would look nice all the way around at that point. The underside of the truck is rusty, this truck has been in Illinois and Wisconsin all it's life. The typical areas along the bottom of the doors and cab corners have corrosion on the inside under the rubber molding. Looks like the previous owner had made an attempt to work on some of it. Passenger side is not bad, drivers side has more for whatever reason. Top of the truck has no damage, but does have a spot towards the front that you can see the paint is not glossy like someone did some work there and did not match the paint - size of a softball. Not really noticeable until I started taking the pictures. Overall nice truck that could be really nice with some effort. Hankook tires are in great shape, around 20,000 miles on them.

Engine and tranny run and shift strong. This mileage is just broken in for the 7.3L. You already knew that...
