1965 Ford E-Series Van Description

This is my 1965 Ford Econoline 6-door panel van. I've put a LOT of work into it, and I hate to sell it, but I'm moving and will not have a place to finish it or store it. It has been in Hot Rod DeLuxe and Church. It is a LOT of fun to drive and has tons of power. It wants to chirp the tires in every gear. All of the hard work has been done, and now it just needs some cosmetic work, but you can drive it while you work on it. I have videos of it running and driving and will try to upload them here. I have taken this van drag racing and a friend has used it to haul motorcycles to races. It's been driven from Chicago to Iowa, central Illinois, and central Michigan. Feel free to ask questions. It is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.

The Bad & The Ugly
It's not done, but could easily be driven while you finish itThe rockers (below front doors) are rusty, but I have rust-free replacements (inner & outer) for both sides.The tubs below the front seats need repairs, but I have replacements (see photos)The front floor needs a few minor patches, as does the area below the second heater. The middle is in good shape, and patching by the rear doors was started, but needs to be finished.The lower panels were replaced by a previous owner and smoothed with Bondo, so not ideal, but the metal is good (you can see it in the interior photos)The rear doors need to be alignedThe new rear panel is in place, but will need more workIn order to accommodate the relocated rear springs, I had to replace the gas tank and moved the filler to the floor by the rear doors. It will need a gas cap, and a vent installed (rollover valve vent and bung included)The brakes need to be bled again, but still stop the van just fine. I had to bleed them myself the first time.All of the hard mechanical and structural work has been done. It now just needs cosmetic work.

I forgot to add that it makes so much power that when I put it on the drag strip, it tore the original driveshaft apart (ask for photos). The new driveshaft is very beefy and built by a shop that works on big rigs.
