2000 GMC Safari Description

For sale 2000 GMC Safari SLT 8 passenger van. 4.3l V6 with 4 speed automatic transmission RWD (2 wheel drive). Power windows, locks and driver's seat, front A/C, tilt, cruise, deep tint glass. AM/FM/CD. Has aftermarket roof console video display and alarm system. This was my daily driver until the last kid left for college in September and has served me very well, but I no longer need 4 vehicles so it must go. Van has ~272000 miles, mostly highway.

It has been well maintained with regular maintenance. Engine runs perfect and transmission works and shifts well.

Known Issues:

• Needs tires (current are 90%+ worn).
• Oil cooler lines are starting to seep again (were replaced a couple years ago)
• Rear heater lines were leaking and have been bypassed, so rear heat is inoperative.
• Driver’s side motor mount rubber is getting soft, causes intermittent vibration when stopped at a traffic light or stop sign but is not noticeable when driving.

Body is in good condition for the year. The driver’s door has minor damage where it caught a garage door when closing. There are a few minor parking lot dings and scratches that would be expected on a 16 year old daily driver.

Interior is clean with no rips or tears in seats. Carpets are very goodwith typical indications of wear for the age.

Front brakes were done ~10000 miles ago with new rotors, pads & reman calipers.

This vehicle was originally sold new in the Canadian market and has dual speedometer markings, but odometer is in Km. It may be possible to have a GM dealer change to Miles, but I’m not certain. The odometer reads 437926 Km which equals ~272115 miles
