2001 GMC Sierra 1500 C3 Description

Up for sale is a 2001 GMC Sierra 1500 C3 4 Dr STD AWD Extended Cab 133k Miles. I've owned it for more than two years now and it's been very reliable. I no longer need a truck though and would like to sell it.
It's never been in an accident and has a Clean Title. This is one of the most powerful trucks for it's class. Strong acceleration and can tow up to 8,700 lbs. It has averaged 14mpg and runs on regular gasoline.
This truck was top of the line luxury when it was made. Dual Leather heated power seats, multi-disc CD player, OnStar, Temp and Compass in auto-dimming rear-view mirror, cruise control, Towing Package and Brake Controller, Trip / Fuel Economy / Mileage Computer, and Sprayed-on Bed Liner.
The always-on AWD make this a good farm or work truck. I replaced the tires two years ago with a set of General Grabber's, which are good for both highway and snow and still with plenty of life left on them.
I replaced all the brake lines in the vehicle last year (GMC trucks made their brake lines out of metal that easily corroded, so they needed replacing). I also had the emergency brake replaced as well. (the previous owner likely drove the vehicle with the e-brake engaged and wore it out). The brake warning light on the dash does still occasionally turn on. I assume it's related to the e-brake replacement, but don't know for sure. The light stayed off during inspection and I was able to pass without issue.
The paint is starting to blister in a few spots above the rear wheels. There is also some rust above the running boards below the rear doors on both sides. I've repaired the driver's side rust with mesh and fiberglass bodyfiller. But the real fix would be to cut out the rusted areas and replace with new metal. Nothing uncommon for a truck of this age. In fact this truck is likely in better condition than most.
The only other issue I'm aware of is that the Hot/Cold Blending Door occasionally sticks. This means that on occasionally I'll have to turn the hot / cold knob back and forth a few times before the shutter actually switches over to heat or A/C. This could mean that the A/C Heater Blend Door Actuator needs cleaned out or replaced.
I was told by several mechanics that overall the truck is in good condition. At some point in the future the rear leaf springs may need replaced, But that it wasn't necessary to do that now.
Keep in mind that as with any used vehicle, there could always be additional issues that are discovered after the sale. I'm selling this as-is. If you're not a mechanic yourself, I encourage you to get someone to perform a pre-purchase inspection. I'm happy to drop-off the truck off at a dealer or mechanic of your choosing if you wish to do that.
Send me a message if you would like to take a look, test drive the vehicle, or arrange a pre-purchase inspection. Thanks!
Local Pickup Only. Sold As-Is.
