GMC made this rare XUV for one year and it's now sought after by those who remember the utilitarian nature of it's conversion from a luxury family minivan/SUV to a pickup truck with just the press of 3 overhead buttons. One button slides the rear window down behind the back seats, another slides the rear window down on the back drop and swing tailgate and yet another slides the whole back roof panel forward to expose the pick up bed. So, in essence, you can have a nice 4WD SUV with room in the back for groceries or a 4WD pickup truckwith room for a surf board with the seats folded down. However, the best part is that you can transfer just about anything with the roof open, as you can see in one of the pictures of my friend Peder standing in the back. How cool is that??? Plus, she's built on a full steel truck frame with Bilstein shocks and trans cooler, so you get a real luxurious ride, as well as a vehicle that can handle the weight. And, if your children are acting out in the back seat, they can have a time out behind the clear sliding glass window! You can keep an eye on them, but don't have to hear them until you are ready to slide the window back down... pure genius in family automotive design! These rarely come up for sale and, in fact, I checked eBay and not one is up for sale at this time. I'm putting her up on eBay for $3,900 with no reserve, as it opens up my audience to those few enthusiasts who know about this XUV and understand how rare and useful she really is for daily driving and hauling. However, if you're in the area and really want the XUV, I have the right to end the auction early with a negotiated price. Onto the XUV itself... she's a one owner vehicle with a clean Autocheck record showing no accidents since new. I have a clean title, the original window sticker and manuals, plus both key fobs. I had it recently inspected and changed the oil, windshield and gauge cluster. Otherwise, she's ready for the road and starts, stops, handles and shifts like a new GMC Envoy on steroids! The SLE Enhanced Package, which includes power driver seat with lumbar, power heated mirrors and lighted vanity mirrors, brought the vehicle price to $35,540 back in 2004. And, of course, you get the ultra reliable Vortec 4200 Inline 6 Cylinder motor that'll run for years and years to come. Other amenities include tilt, cruise, CD factory stereo, dual climate control and power everything including mirrors, seat, windows and locks. The body has no rust anywhere, and the original factory paint still shines nice with only a couple of the typical minor dings and scratches for a 13 year old vehicle. The interior is perfect with no rips, stains or missing trim. It has a set of nice Goodyear tires with plenty of tread still left. Whew, I'm almost done with everything I wanted to write about this unusual, upscale car-truck of extreme opulence and functionality. Honestly, there's nothing like it on the market from the past, present or future... unless GM is smart enough to bring it back to market. So call me (Tom) at 313-805-4265 or Peder at 313-729-3671 to take her for a test drive or have it inspected, and see for yourself the perfect combination of extravagance and sensibility. Please, no low balls offers, as this is the absolute lowest the Envoy will sell at no reserve and a penny less is not enough for this rare XUV. This model continues to move up in price and it is truly special for it's one ownership prominence, original window sticker and manual and clean title with no accidents in her history. Please keep in mind that this is a no reserve auction and your bid is a legally binding agreement to purchase the vehicle. If you make a bid, I'll assume that you've already kicked the tires, asked the significant other and have funds available. Also, ask any and all questions before making a bid, as I want to make sure you know everything you need to before making your decision.I've had a couple of curmudgeons who wanted to renegotiate after the sale and then left me with negative feedback, so please be sure that you are aware of the eBay rules and my auction guidelines, as she is being sold AS ISwith no warranties expressed or implied. Feel free to have the truck inspected or come by to take it for a test drive. I do reserve the right to end the auction early, as the truck will be up for sale locally. The buyer will be responsible for having the Envoy shipped, but I'll be happy to pick you up at Detroit Metropolitan Airport if you want to fly in and drive her home. Anonrefundable$500 deposit will be due via Paypal within 24 hours of the auction end and full payment in the form ofclearedcertified check, Paypal or cash in person by 3 days with no exceptions. Lastly, don't worry about me sticking you with extra processing fees, paperwork costs and other bloated additions to the cost of the Envoy. I have a clean, signed title and the price you bid will be the price you pay other than any Secretary of State costs incurred such as title/registration/plate transfer and/or MI taxes (if you live in Michigan). If you have a negative feedback rating or less than 10 eBay transactions, please contact me before you bid. Also, if you're from out of the country, contact me before you bid, as the only item I've shipped overseas was a Studebaker motor and that was a hassle! Thank you! |
