1990 HONDA Accord EX-nice PLUS 1990 DX model for parts
1990 Honda Accord Description
i may regret selling this, but i got too many cars now.
Up for sale- excellent condition, 1990 Honda Accord EX
The Good-
--seemingly garage-kept for its first 90,000 miles. i think some old geezer in doylestown, PA kept it nice. i acquired it at about 118,000, been great car. that is why there is very little rust and decay, original paint job still gleams.
--just put new 75.00 tires on it, and got a 4-point laser alignment done
--will include 2 extra Hankook snows in good condition
--interior in nice shape, all electronics such as power windows and locks work perfectly, sun roof works great, no leaking
--plugs, wires, oil changes all done when they needed it- no burning of oil, no dripping
--right Tie Rod changed 10/15
--distributor cap and rotor changed 11/15
--i know i had the timing belt changed, but i cannot find the garage receipt- can get that
--has a pretty good stereo in it, i think i put JBL or other such good speakers in the back, same with door speakers
--i also have a 1990 Accord DX sitting here which the buyer can have, been raiding it for parts these last 2 years, still many good parts on it: rims, engine (heard they are great sought after engines), seats, rear light fixtures, new windshield, alternator, computer (the one under the floor mat on the passenger side) and other stuff- if the buyer cannot take this and doesn't have the means to get it out of here, gonna call the local junk yard to have it towed out.
The Bad-
--exhaust in good shape, however the flex pipe just sprouted a few small geysers, so i wrapped some flashing around it, will hold for a while
--the front left CV axle is starting to make slight clicking sound, gonna need changing at some point
--when i bought this, the steering wheel sometimes makes a slight knocking sound. mechanic went over it with a fine-toothed comb and could not find anything, so no issues since i have had the car.
--as you may know, the electronic antenna motor is crap on these cars, never had one that worked- i did get one at a junk yard (see pic) but i have not installed it. antennas themselves can be found on ebay and can be inserted into the housing (did this on my other car.) So the antenna may need addressing, however i can still pick up channels. i basically use it for the 88.1 signal put out by my Sirius receiver.
--this isn't necessarily 'bad', but i am not a fan of air conditioning, so i never used the air conditioning. most likely it needs a tune up/re-charge with that freon stuff
--when i bought it there was a small bb gun type divot on the windshield, on passenger side, barely noticeable
The Ugly-
--last winter i slid on the ice and put a small ding on the passenger side, can be fixed easily, just haven't had the time. a little sanding, bondo, white paint etc
--the rear tire well on the passenger side is showing the first signs of rust, can be nipped in the bud easily. a shame that these cars trap moisture in the fender there, design flaw some mechanic told me
--small rust showing in corner of driver's door, easy fix
bout it- hate to sell it, will take 500.00 deposit via PAYPAL by the buyer, balance in cash. if you win let me know if you want this DX sitting here also
