2002 Honda Civic Coupe
This is a 2002 Honda Civic 2 door coupe with a 5 speed manual transmission.
I purchased this car from the original owner in May 2008 with 76,000 miles on it.
I drive this car 50 miles (mostly highway) each way to work every day.I consistently get over 38 miles per gallon partially because I have a K&N cold air intake installed. While it is impossible to say exactly what kind of fuel mileage you will get in your situation, I’m certain you will be very happy with it.
I took very good care of this car.About 12 months ago (25,000 miles ago) I replaced the transmission, the clutch, flywheel, pilot bearing, throw out bearing, and pressure plate.
The following were also replaced at that time: front rotors, front brake pads, left front wheel bearing, both lower ball joints, both lower control arms, and the front motor mount.
Without any doubt this is my favorite car of all the cars I’ve owned through the years.I can say many great things about it.It is very reliable and never lets me down. Itis well-designed and easy to work on, the parts are very affordable and easy to find, it is fun to drive and handles great even in bad weather, it has tons of room and the rear seats fold down very easily for added cargo capacity, the stereo/ CD sounds great, and lots more.
There are a few issues with the car. First, the windshield has been cracked (near the bottom) since I bought the car. There is a scratch on the right quarter panel that I had fixed but is still visible. There are other scrapes, scratches, and small dents but most are not very noticeable. Overall this car is still in good shape, it has been great through the years and I really wish I could keep it.
Other stuff
The A/C blows ice cold!
The tires are in good condition.
The vent visors are great, quieter ride, reduces wind blasting you in the head, allows you to leave the windows open a bit on really hot days without concern of after noon rain storms.
The Cruise control, tilt wheel, power windows and power mirrors are all very nice to have.
