1978 Honda Accord LX Description

I am selling what would've been my pride and joy. A 5-Speed Honda Accord in which I wanted to learn to drive manual. A pretty cool car with the old school ragtop roof which by the way does not leak at all. It is a California car which explains why it's in great shape for almost 4 decades on the road. The interior is in great shape and I cleaned it thoroughly, gave it a nice detailing. The undercarriage is rust free, only the clearcoat paint is fading away due to many years being exposed to salty air from the Pacific Ocean on the West Coast. It is a CVCC engine and 3-Barrel Keihin carburetor that got rebuilt by previous owner. The clutch is new, new tires on the baby and a battery from 2015 which is new, considering it not being driven much by the previous owners. The car also has a new power steering rack which I have a copy of the paperwork as well as the clutch and carburetor rebuilt. So keep that in mind when bidding, that money has been invested in the car to keep it going. Also I have some extra parts that will go with the car, miscellaneous items that can come handy. However, the front seat covers in plaid and the leatherette steering wheel cover are not part of the sale. (If you like the look, the steering wheel cover is avalable at Wal-Mart and the seat covers on Amazon.) **I ALSO HAVE A DETAILED VEHICLE REPORT AVAILABLE **
I planned on doing a Weber carburetor conversion at some point after buying it through eBay. However, the car had probably 4 owners, and upon the shipper picking up the car, I discovered that it doesn't run. It was too late; the seller hadn't disclosed certain facts. I had the car brought home, played around with it trying to see what I can do to get it going but I just don't have time any more to figure things out that are beyond my personal mechanical capability.
It could be something simple as vapor lock, fuel filter or simply 6 gallons of old gas from July 2016 in the tank from the previous owner. Or the buildup of condensation in the combustion chamber from sitting too long. Maybe the engine hydrolocked due to blown head gasket, since the motor oil was milky when I checked and very low that the car could've suffered oil starvation and gave up. Perhaps it overheated and blew the head gasket and could've suffered damage to the pistons and rods when attempting to run on Starting fluid and then maybe it gave up completely. The engine rotates but does not want to start, even after pumping the pedal many times. I know the oil pressure bulb on the dash doesn't come on at all so that's why I suspect the engine starved.
I do not want to see this car get destroyed, especially since the body and interior are in good condition and the ragtop doesn't leak and the rear tailgate/hatch struts are working properly. I would love for whoever gets it to restore her and keep her on the road. I love this car but do not have time and hope another Honda enthusiast is able to get it back on the road.
I have explained all details and if something needs to get clarified or explained, just ask before you bid. What I am asking is a fair price. The body is as best as it can be for an *original* unrestored 40 year old Honda that spent its entire life in California.
**PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT INTEND ON BUYING THE CAR! IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A 100% FEEDBACK RATING, DO NOT BID! SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY! LOCAL PICKUP ONLY AS THE CAR DOES NOT DRIVE. THE VEHICLE IS SOLD AS-IS. BUYER RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING FEE! ONCE AGAIN, THE CAR NEEDS MECHANICAL WORK!**
**MONEY ORDER OR CASHIERS CHECK, NO PERSONAL CHECKS! ONCE PAYMENT IS RECEIVED, I WILL MAIL OUT TITLE AND CAR NEEDS TO BE PICKED UP BY A SHIPPER PROMPTLY!**
