1985 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas Description

Vehicle had to be relisted due to a non-paying winner. Up for sale is my 1985 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas. The car currently has a little over 42,500 miles and is currently stored; the mileage when I bought the car was right around 42k. I purchased this car locally about three (3) years ago when I was living in PA. I bought it to replace my other ’87 XJ6 after many years of enjoyment. I’ve owned several Jaguar XJ6s from the ‘80s and this is by far the most original (low miles) and the most beautiful Jaguar I’ve owned from that period. The previous owner is a Jaguar enthusiast like myself and had carefully documented everything he had done to the car after he purchased it. I have the binder of all the receipts that I would estimate are close to more than $7k worth of work done both cosmetically and mechanically. Note the seats do have some rips and wear from where the previous owner never got around to restoring it. I've let them as original to the car. I also have a large box of misc. parts that are related to the car when the previous owner was restoring or replacing something. You’ll notice I haven’t put that many miles on the car since I’ve owned it. I only drove it during the warm months and kept it stored during the off season. This car is one of several Jaguars I own and I need to thin out my collection thus the reason it’s for sale. The engine is very strong and the transmission shifts as it should. The tires have a good amount of thread left on them. The interior is very clean aside from the front seats. The car has been basted and repainted to remove the previous rust spots in 2007. Here’s what I know the car needs after my most recent drive: The passenger’s side and right-rear passenger’s side windows recently stopped working. It could be the switches but i haven’t looked into it. The antenna wasn’t connected when I bought the car and I’ve never cared to have it connected. The right rear gas tank overflows for some reason when the tank is selected, so gas is pumped out from the top and runs down the trunk. i was told by a mechanic who is familiar with these cars that this is a problem that happens when the car hasn’t been driven in a while - something to do with a valve sticking, so I’m not sure how complicated of a process it is to correct. Lastly, the AC needs a recharge and there’s something with the vacuum line behind the dash you can hear when accelerating. It doesn’t happen always, but it sounds like flaps changing. It’s always done it since I’ve owned the car and doesn’t affect anything. Aside from the above, I'm not aware of anything else the car needs. I just installed a new battery. Please view all photos and feel free to ask any questions. I have videos of the engine starting and running I can text to interested buyers. Thanks for viewing.
