1988 Jaguar XJ6 Base Sedan 4-Door Description

This car was donated to us for WYPR Public Radio Station in Baltimore. The car looks great and is described by the donor as being in "pristine condition, a showroom car, and a collector's car." The1988 Jaguar XJ6 has an inline 3.6L motor. The exterior body of the Jaguar is in really good condition and was most likely garage kept for a good portion of its use. There are a few interior defects but overall the leather looked really clean, the wood interior was in above average condition, and the dash looked nice. There are several mechanical issues that need to be addressed in order to get this Jaguar in proper running condition. The first issue would be a new battery and testing the alternator as the vehicle would not stay running without a jump box attached. The brakes are inoperable and the car shouldn't be driven without them being fixed. There is also some oil leaks on the underside (and some on the side of the block) of the motor. The engine will need to be cleaned off and rechecked to verify the source of all the leaks. Overall the car is in pretty good condition and with a few repairs would make for a nice vehicle.
