1997 Jaguar XJ6
1997 Jaguar XJ6 Description
This car has the 245hp inline 6 cylinder with overdrive (which is actually pretty reliable and thanks to overdrive it gets an average fuel consumption rating of around 25mpg). This particular XJ6 has a strong engine, a smooth transmission, a rust free body, and a nearly perfect interior (apart from the one blemish shown in the pictures). The car was in a wreck, however it has a clear title and I paid around $1,500 to get it properly repaired. I put Vanden Plas wheels on it because the old set was cracked, however these are still Jaguar wheels and are by no means custom. It has a few little issues: the driver seat won't adjust, the driver window doesn't go down, and the doors don't all lock at once, the wiper doesn't work (rain-x works great), the radio is disconnected (I have it in the trunk) and if you leave the car sit for over a week the battery drains. I think those are all fuse related but I'm not certain. Non electrical related, if you jack the car up the rear right wheel has some play but the car drives fine so I didn't bother to do anything about it. I have a few month old interstate battery in it, recently replaced gas tank and all new fuel lines, and for $200 I have 4 nearly new (unmounted) Cooper all weather tyres, and a "new" retractable antenna. This car features a sunroof and heated front+rear seats. It also has a sport mode which changes the shift points and gives a much quicker acceleration.
