1999 Jaguar XK8 Description

Introducing my wife's car. Purchased 11 years ago in like new condition, she has added about 35k miles to it in that time frame. During that time, she has referred to it as her "Baby" and has taken superlative care of it. If it happened to be raining, she drives my truck. So in 11 years it may have been it the rain 4 times! ALWAYS GARAGED and kept in the cleanest condition. We are the 2nd owners of this vehicle.This car mechanically is in great condition and ready to drive anywhere. Interior looks like new. Some of the most comfortable seats I've encountered.
Recent service includes: New filters (air, fuel, and oil), new valve cover gaskets, brake pads, new plugs and ignition coils, belt.It has 55,000 miles and has been treated very gently. Also comes from non-smoking owners.
You might find a cheaper one, but you won't find a better one for the money. This car is well worth a look, even if you don't purchase, it will set the bar for others you may meet.
In the past year it has been driven even less because my wife now prefers driving my new truck. I noticed she would take my truck more and more. When I asked her about her "Baby" and why she seemed to be driving it less often, she said she worries about not being able to see behind her when she backs out from parking spots and having blind spots while driving. Come to find out she really has become dependent on the back-up camera that my new truck is equipped with. She says she does not like the "blind spots" that the Jaguar has and in growing older, she worries about having an accident. In the last couple of weeks she has said she wants a new car, one that has a back-up camera and accident avoidance back-up sensors. One that sits up higher in the road and has better visibility. I can understand where she is coming from and this is the only reason we are putting it up for sale. On the free vehicle report you will see "10/25/14 rear impact reported". This was a parking-lot incident where my wife backed into a parking lot column and scratched the center of the rear bumper (this is where the continual blind-spot issue comes into play with her). HOWEVER, this actually was a good thing .... because when we purchased the car, it had a scratch on the top of the rear bumper where someone had scratched it while taking luggage out of the trunk. I had the entire rear bumper fascia removed, repainted and reinstalled which also fixed the luggage scratch. It was a dead-on color match and is now flawless, as shown in photos. A year ago if you had asked me if we would ever sell this car I would have saidNO! and continue to take special care of it.
We have the original window sticker and the selling price was over $75k! A wonderfully engineered car and a dream to drive. Runs like a scalded cat. 4.0Litre 32 VALVE V8 -- 5-SPEED AUTOMATIC
