1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Description

What you are bidding on is a green 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. It is automatic with the Selec-Trac 4 wheel drive system which basically means that it is not AWD...it is 4WD. The history is that I bought it locally four years ago for 4K. I knew that I'd only have it for a few years until I could afford a Jeep Rubicon. That day has arrived and the Grand Cherokee has been a very reliable vehicle!! I am the second owner & I have all of the service records from the first owner. It is in very good condition for its age. I replaced the rocker panels last year (now riveted) but the frame is still very sound. Also last year, the ball joints were replaced.
The ABS system is off which illuminates the ABS light constantly & there has been an intermittent vacuum line issue for the entire time I've owned the Grand Cherokee which makes the Check Engine light come on intermittently. The vehicle has run fine & gets good gas mileage so I've never chased down the issue. If I were to keep it, I'd get two new front tires & do the front brake pads.
The Jeep has been very trustworthy & I'd drive it anywhere. I have a very reasonable reserve price on it which basically represents the value of the drive train. The fuel injected inline six with the Selec-Trac system IS A GREAT SYSTEM!!

Although not pictured, the Grand Cherokee has a brand new Mopar hitch installed. (I wanted to make sure that the Jeep recall was performed before the new buyer takes ownership...it's all set!).

2010: alignment, shocks, & muffler.
2011: sway bar links replaced, new rotors & pads
2012: tranmission cooler lines replaces, wiper blades, new radiator, & belts.

2014: pads & rotors, upper & lower ball joints
2015:Crankshaft position sensor, & new Mopar rear hitch.
2016: New battery.
