1998 Jeep Wranger Sahara with rear Dana 44
1998 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Description
For sale is my 1998 Jeep TJ Sahara Wrangler. I bought this when I started college as a restoration project to work on during my summers and vacation time. Every modification I've made was intended to increase reliability, durability, and increase longevity of the car (It needed to be because it was not only a project but my daily driver). The car comes with the high output 4.0L engine and it has the very stout AX-15 5 speed manual transmission. Since I've owned it I have changed the oil every 3,000 miles and have replaced various things that would typically wear out on a 18 year old car (New lights, new trim pieces, etc.). If you have any questions regarding the jeep go ahead and contact me. I will accept C.O.D or PayPal as payment methods. Thank you.
The jeep has Modifications listed below and more:
1. The Jeep received acid treatment to remove any sign of possible rust that I could find when I bought it.
2. The entire tub was professionally rhino-lined to make cleaning it easier.
3. 4-inch lift with 5100 Bilstein shocks all around on 35-inch KM2's with plenty of tread left.
4.GPS tracking system
5.Dana 44 rear axle from a 2006 jeep LJ (The jeep now has disc brakes all-around for improved stopping power)
6. 4.56 Yukon gears.
7. Coated steel front and rear bumper with swing away tire carrier.
The "more" modifications would be more subtle and less noticeable things like the Teraflex suspension front track bar, Aftermarket Alarm with GPS tracking system that sends messages to your phone, or the Euro headlight guards. The car is not perfect. Even though the car is very well kept, it has signs of daily use. I believe a circuit in the horn short-wired and it would go off randomly so I disconnected it. Also, one of the front fog lights does not work and the Winch was given to me by the previous owner but I have no idea if it works or not, Ive never been able to use this car like I intended to or go offroad because I was scared of possibly breaking something and being left without a car. All work was professionally done by reputable Offroad shops in South Florida.
Reason for selling is that I can no longer justify driving a lifted jeep 50 miles to work each day in Miami traffic, especially for my first post graduate job that requires me to meet clients and such. I need something more "practical", otherwise I would be keeping it. Please keep in mind that this is my daily driver and miles will go up until it is sold.
