2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport Sport Utility 4-Door Description

Here is a 2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4.0L inline 6 engine, 4x4. This car was nothing but a long, on-going, never ending project, simply just a hobby of mine, but also a very fun vehicle. The car does run and drive just as it should with no abnormal engine noises.

The Good:

  • Engine upper half was just rebuilt (heads decked, seals changed out, lifters replaced, new gaskets, new timing chain)
  • Radiator and coolant hoses just replaced
  • AUX fan switched to be controlled from interior
  • Snorkel
  • Steel Skids
  • Steel Rear bumper
  • Steel Front bumper with the winch plate and a stinger bar
  • Steel plates under the engine pan and under the gas tank
  • Aussie Locker in the back (click style)
  • Upgraded Chromoly axles
  • 33" Tires
  • Steel Roof Rack
  • 53" LED Curved light bar with custom brackets
  • Electric Air Compressor
  • Reupholstered Headliner in black
  • CB Radio
  • After market head unit
  • Rough Country Flood lights on the stinger
  • Rough Country 4.5" lift kit (springs have just been replaced, brand new)
  • Rough Country shackles for the rear to add another 1" in the back
  • 9,000lb Winch, rewired to be controlled from the interior or the outside
  • Light bar, air compressor, Floods, all wired properly, fused and relayed
  • Half the jeep has been painted with Rhino Liner (basically everything that is black), with rust inhibitor for a base coat
  • Very minimal rust
  • After market security/lock systemwith auto start
  • Digital engine performance reader
  • Probably more things that I'm forgetting...

The Bad:

  • Has dents and scratches on the truck and the doors
  • Has some mud in the carpeting that is close to impossible to clean
  • Loud and noisy vehicle (normal for an offroader though)
  • Left turn signal stopped working andWasher sprayer stopped working (have not gotten a chance to look into it yet, will look into it before selling)
  • Has some paint overspray on the body (in my opinion it adds character just like the dents)
  • The tallness of the lift sometimes makes the vehicle seem to be leaning just from road crown

Overall this is a very fun vehicle and has never let me down yet. This was always built with quality as I made sure to put parts on it to handle anything I might want to throw at it. This Jeep has a lot of money invested into it, but for me it is time to move on. With everything going on, I just don't really drive it anymore. For any additional questions feel free to contact me. Thank you for looking!
