1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Description

Only a limited quantity of this Jeep were made.Body, Engine, Transmission and transfer case is all in excellent condition. It has a remote start. You can drive it down the road!
Now for the bad. I will list all the things that I am aware of that is wrong with it.
1. I replaced all of the bearings in the front and read end. The owner took it out trailing, the front and rear end now leaks fluid and the rear end has a humming noise in it.

A. The rear end: I replaced the outer axle bearings as well but the bearings were so bad that there is grooves in both axles. So the axles will need replaced. Nothing that has to be fixed ASAP.

B. The front end: The pinion gear wouldn't tighten down, so I spoke with another mechanic on how to fix it. He told me that I needed to put shimms behind the bearing race on the side where the pig is. So thats what I did. Come to find out the shimms were supposed to be placed on the side where the pinion nut is. I didn't bother to fix that, I just removed the front driveshaft. The driver's side CV axle needs replaced, I have a brand new one that will go with it.

It has leather interior which really isn't in that bad of shape. This Jeep WILL sit you right back in your seat. It runs great. Rear tires are about 90% tread and the front tires are about 60% tread.

This Jeep is for sale as-is where is. NO WARRANTY at all is coming with this Jeep.
