1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee, transmission bad won't shift pass 2nd it will go in reverse. So you can drive it away just not very fast. This might be a parts car for some considering the mileage at 350K. Below is some of the things I know a buyer should know before they come...
Transmission needs repaired
Paint flaking (common for these vehicles)
Windshield needs replaced
Needs new heater core (I have it bypassed now)
Needs battery (I have the one out of my boat in it for now)
Needs new passenger side door handle
Driver seat torn up
Engine use about 1 Qt oil per 1000 miles no other issues runs strong still
AC works great but has a slow leak so you need to add about 1lb every month
Power steering just started leaking not sure if it hose or pump
4WD works perfect
Needs new shocks
Tires are in the 4/32 range
Needs left side sway bar bushing kit
Rear cargo door needs new hinge you can open and close just misaligned some.
I like to tell everything I can think of that wrong with the truck so there are no surprise when you arrive...some people play it up and they you get disappointed when they arrive. This truck I drove everyday back and forth to work for 10 years. Would still be driving it if the transmission hadn't went the wife says it time to get a car since I already have a suburban or I might have just put a crazy rays transmission in it and go.
Does have new headliner, water pump and fuel pump.
