1984 Jeep Cherokee -- Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a very rare 1984 Jeep Cherokee with just 134k original miles. If I'm being honest, Jeep Cherokee's aren't exactly rare vehicles. What sets this one apart is that it is a rather early one in amazing condition that appears to be completely original. I would rate the exterior of this Jeep Cherokee to be in EXCELLENT CONDITION for it's age and mileage. If you follow my auctions, you'll know that I rarely give out the "excellent" rating. That is saved for the most exceptional vehicles. As with any older vehicle, please don't expect this Jeep to be perfect. After all, it is 33 years old. The dark red finish shines nicely and looks as smooth as glass. I believe it to be original but I'm not a body expert. It does show a little age, which is well within what I'd consider to me acceptable for a vehicle of this age. Pride in ownership shows throughout this Jeep. There is no noteworthy damage to point out. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and hatch all open and close easily. All of the exterior trim and cladding are still present and show well. The windows are professionally tinted and show well. Even the original factory fog lamps are still present, along with their original covers. The wheels are correct and still have their chrome trim rings. The tires are nice and show good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each and every one of the 60+ photos carefully to see how exceptionally nice this Jeep looks. I would also rate the interior of this Cherokee to be in EXCELLENT CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets are nearly spotless throughout the interior. The dash and headliner are both clean, and the headliner is nice and tight. The original low back seats are original and show very well front and back. The right front seat doesn't want to flip up for some reason. I didn't force it, in an effort to preserve it. Everything is original, down to the radio. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The radio works as it should. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout every inch of this Jeep. Mechanically, this Jeep Cherokee appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.5L engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I haven't noticed any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an old truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. Some of the gauges don't work. I believe it is the fuel gauge and the oil pressure gauges that are kind of sketchy. The others work properly. The engine makes good power and feels smooth. She sounds good...no ticks, taps or knocks. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. It has the old Select Trac part time system with the old knob and lever. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. If you're looking for an exceptional classic Cherokee, this '84 deserves your serious consideration. It is exceptional in every single way. The world is full of beat up, used up Jeeps. I truly hope the next fortunate owner of this gorgeous Cherokee treats her with the care and respect she is used to. Like nearly all of my vehicles, this rare Jeep will be sold to the highest bidder with NO RESERVE so bid to own. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
