1984 Jeep CJ Description
1984 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler Project
I've been getting a lot of interest and questions about the Jeep. Here is more detailed information. The Jeep was my daily driver before I took it off the road to start the restoration. The body mounts were relocated to match the fiberglass tub because Ididn't want to use the flimsy adapter that came with the kit. The motormounts were also welded up for the V8 conversion. The frame was then sandblasted to bare metaland had 3 coats of frame epoxyapplied, so the frame is rust free. The tub was mounted, doors, fenders and hood hung. Everything was skim coated and ready for sanding and paint. The hard top is in excellent condition, one rain gutter has a slight crack in it which is the only issue, side windows slide/lock, screens are good and rearhatch opens, closes and locks as itshould. The motor I bought new and the transmission was rebuilt with the AD output shaft installed for the conversion, so zero miles on both. The Jeep has been primarily stored indoors and when it was outdoors early in the restoration process it was always covered. I hope thisinformationhelps. It'sdefinitely a timeintensive project but for the right person a huge payoff. I'm out of time, money and need tovacate my storage space. The opening bid is what I paid for the motor. My lo$$ is your gain. Thanks for lookingand bid to win.

Original drive shafts need to bemodified. The only things missing are a windshield, (which got broken when I moved.) and a carburetor because I was considering throttle body fuel injection. The Jeep is currently in a storage unit and available for inspection. I am very motivated to sell, have $15K invested as it sits in parts & labor and have a clear title in hand.
