This Liberty Sport utility is purposeful and compact in appearance. A ride that was smooth, steady, firm and never jarring. The handling is extremely good for an SUV, it responds to aggressive steering commands without fuss. The strong, solid, 160hp, 2.8L turbo diesel engine starts right up in the morning, there is no delay. Electronically controlled ceramic "Smart" glow plugs warm up in two seconds and glow only when needed. Another upgrade is the electronically controlled, variable-geometry turbo-charger. The turbo-charger has moveable vanes that allow the turbo to quickly spool up and also deliver larger air volumes as the rpm increases. Turbo lag is minimized and top end power is maximized. The engine is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission that shifts smooth and right on time. She has plenty of passing power in reserve and it is pretty quick off the line. Drives ever so smooth and quiet, I didn't even realize it was a diesel! Being a diesel, it provides better fuel mileage than a comparably sized gasoline engines, typically over 400 miles between fill ups! This SUV is capable of traversing terrain that few SUV buyers are likely to challenge. Meanwhile, the 4WD delivers grip in mud, snow, or uneven ground. As you can see in the many detailed photos taken, the "Deep Beryl Green Pearl Coat"exterior shines like the Florida sun! Paint is in really good condition and has no rust or sun damage. Professionally inspected, no signs of any damage. This refined SUV blends strong performance with solid engineering and luxurious trappings. On the inside, the "Medium Slate Gray" interior looks really good, no rips or tears.
