1986 Jeep CJ Laredo Description
1986 CJ7 Laredo edition
Fresh cosmetic restoration to restore this CJ7 to factory appearance.
Original Last of Great Breed Edition.
West Texas Jeep (Amarillo and Lubbock).
Cowl tag: P1 (Classic Black paint) and 1EJ (Black high-back Laredo-striped seats).
This is the most faithful reproduction you will find on Ebay.
Note all the factory details: seats, console, gauges, hinges (no chrome/SS), chrome wagon wheels, etc.
Exterior:
Repainted in original P1 Classic Black.
Body was taken down to the metal (including inside of Jeep), reconditioned and primed before paint.
All original factory body parts.
Re-striped correctly as 1985-86 Laredo.
Complete Phoenix package including side step grip tape.
NOS chrome grill cover with Laredo stripe.
Factory chrome wagon wheels have been stripped front and back then polished.
The center caps have been cleaned and polished.
Rocker molding painted original satin black - not faded brushed aluminum.
New OEM fender flares.
New front chrome bumper.
NOS frame cover.
Factory CJ7 bumperettes (cleaned and polished).
Mechanicals:
Original 258 ci / 4.2L engine.
Automatic 3-speed transmission.
Jeep has 157,000 miles but runs and shifts very well.
Later half 1986 production with Dana 44 rear axle.
Brake system has been completely rebuilt.
New starter and flywheel.
Interior:
Refinished interior with factory mint Laredo seats.
Proper driver and passenger seats (carpet on the outside) with a fold and tumble rear seat. No rips or tears.
Doors have excellent factory Laredo door panels. New handles, latches and window knobs.
New seals all around (cowl, doors, and tailgate).
Nice factory console with working lock that matches doors and glove box.
Dash:
The dash has been completely restored.
Near mint factory gauges selected for bright colored needles and paint.
The speedometer is original with actual mileage (157,250) and repainted needles.
All knobs, pulls, nuts and indicator lights are brand new.
New dash pad, overlay, plastic glove box insert and Laredo striping.
Grab bar perfectly restored with new hand-stitched leather.
Last of Great Breed plaque is reproduction but can include the original with sale.

Every factory item and accessory bolted onto this Jeep has been reconditioned in some form (either cleaned/polished or sanded, primed and repainted).
The only thing this jeep needs is a stereo and speakers but the new owner can decide what he/she wants. The dash is cut for a new style stereo but the new overlay has not been cut.
