1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport Description

Disappointed that it didn't pass VA inspection days ago. Rejected for a broken link-pin onright rear anti-sway bar. Time to give it up to someone who can work on the Jeep themselves. I haven't the time or inclination to doanymore myself. I used this Jeep primarily in the winter snow. Mileage not great at 19 mpg. Engine very strong. Low mileage @128000.

Issues: The bad.

Radio and cassette no longer working. Air conditioner no longer cooling (might be it onlyneeds recharging) Hood latch cable broken but hoodcan still be opened. Needs a new front emergency brake cable. The neutral safetyswitch is finicky - still starts in park/neutral and back up lights work but switchneeds adjustment every now and then. Drivers side rear door does not always open with power door lock. Headliner beginning to droop. Rear door hatch struts no longer keep door open.These are all the issues I'm aware of.

Non Issues: The good.

Tires about 40% remaining. New rotors, calipers and brake pads both front wheels. New front brake lines both front wheels and new brake line to rear junction. New brake fluid.New drivers side power window regulator and door lock actuator both front doors. Muffler replaced '15. Front and rear diff., transfer case serviced at 110000.New spark plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, oil pressure sending unit and newexhaust manifold@ 112000. New upstream and downstreamO2 sensors. Belts, hoses and radiatorall good. Battery good.Oil changed every 5000 with new filter. Four wheel drivehigh and low work fine.Power windows work front and rear. Front fan and heater/defroster work well through full range of high-low fan and temperature adjustment (very good heater, almost too warm, in Winter).Excellent body and paint (red not faded), only one small rust area beginning below drivers side rear door. No scratches, dents or dings. Side door moldings have pulled away slightly. Windows clear, no dinks except for scratched glass on rear hatch window. Full size spare tire unused. All tools for tire change under rear seat.All power equipment works. Interior good. Noissues here. Dashboard un-cracked, no tears in seats or interior trim. Dashboard instruments include, oil pressure, fuel level, charging, and engine temp. All function well. Instrument dimmer rheostat functioning. Digital odometer and trip work fine. All fuses and relayschecked and functioning.
