1982 Jeep CJ Description

Nicely redone classic 1982 CJ7. Survivor quality at an affordable price for SERIOUS US BUYERS / COLLECTORS THAT COMMIT TO CLOSING THE SALE ONLY!
THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION. Subject to local sale but if you bid and win I am of course obligated to complete the transaction.
This Jeep started out as a desert SW Arizona find so the body and frame are spotless and rust free!
Please read everything carefully, I am being 100% honest and up front with any issues as I see them to ensure buyer is looking at this with their eyes open and has realistic expectations.
Inspections are encouraged if you are local to New England!
ASK QUESTIONS! All intelligent, legitimate questions answered promptly. Anything that sound fishy, out of country or contacts to "help me sell" the Jeep will be ignored.
Frame off rebuild with the following components (combination of new and used):
- AMC 304 V8 - New 2bbl Motorcraft carburetor, new timing chain, oil pump, water pump, re-gasketed (oil pan, timing cover, valve covers), new motor and trans mounts.- Cast iron exhaust manifolds with single exhaust. Tight and reasonably quiet. Built to be a driver.- New radiator- New heater core- T176 Jeep 'Medium duty' 4 speed (the best Jeep ever used in the 80's)- New clutch- Dana 300 transfer case- Dana 44 rear axle, 3.73 gears, open differential, factory 1 piece axle shafts, drum brakes all new, working parking brake.- Dana 30 front with matching 3.73, open differential, disk brakes, new ball joints, axle joints, tie rods, brake calipers, pads, bearings serviced and resealed- Power steering- Power brakes - new master cylinder- Tilt steering column- 2.5" lift kit. Front springs appear slightly lower and minor lean to driver's side.- 33" BFG AT tires on Mickey Thompson simulated aluminum "bead lock" wheels.- 1.5" wheel spacers- 20 gallon plastic original CJ gas tank (gas gauge does not work). New fuel lines. New fuel pump.
Frame is all clean and original Arizona steel with fresh chassis black sprayed by professional body shop.
Body is all clean and original Arizona steel. Jeep has not been on the road in New England. New paint (professionally applied in a paint booth over SOLID steel), new Phoenix Graphics Renegade decals ($400) professionally applied.
Body has spray in bed liner interior and fire wall.
Hard top included as seen with good rust free lift gate (hinges could use alignment)
Hard doors painted to match and of course included as seen (do not have door key). Windows function correctly but the window cranks are not original CJ.
Steel YJ Half doors included, color matched (not shown) with black interior panels (panels notinstalled as of this writing).
Mileage on title is 000000.Mileage on odometer is ~13x,xxx. Gauge clustercame from adonor Jeep. Temperature and fuelgauge, are inaccurate, horn button is inoperative (all very common CJ issues)
Dash has extra hole for / from someaftermarket gauge that is no longer there. Radio hole was enlarged.
Does not have anything behind glove box door.
Front seats are original beige Jeep "CJ" Embossed high backs (people pay $600 - 800 for these Seats alone). They are not ripped but were dirty and I didn'tlike the color so I put new Best Top Black CJ high back seat covers on them.
Does not have back seat.
Frontfloors have extra holes from a full roll cage. Floors are of course rust free.
Seat belts are new retractable lap belts.
Rear tail lights are round LED.
Has holes for spare tire rack but no spare tire rack.
Does not have a license plate bracket.
Has hole in cowl for antenna but no antenna.
Jeep has not been registered or on road since the rebuild and not sure what minor bugs the buyer might run into. Suggest shipping vs. driving hundreds of miles to avoid an unforeseen issue on the road. Possible I-40 corridor delivery or local New England delivery for the right person or price.
