1962 Jeep CJ CJ5 Description

This is an original 1962 Willys CJ5 with clear Utah title. Other than the front driver side fender and rear right quarter both being replaced, it's all original. Not sure if the odometer has been rolled over or not, but based on the condition of the body, I wouldn't think so. Engine is the original F134 four cylinder. The oil in the engine looks awesome for a vehicle that has sat many years. I was able to start it by pouring a little gas down the carb. The pictures show all the rust places on the Jeep. Both front floor pans where your feet rest have a hole, the bottom of the tailgate (which is nearly perfectly straight) is rusted and the left rear quarter panel above the tail light has a rust hole. All of this is due to it sitting outside uncovered for many years. Aside from that, the body is in great shape and has no rust in the normal problem areas. To that point, the windshield frame is in great shape as if the top of the cowl where they meet.
Here's what needs work.... seats need re-upholstered, radiator needs re-cored, brake system needs work and steering box turns all the way to the left, but only about half way to the right. Not sure about electrical as I have not tried it all out. It is 12 volt and will need a battery. Tires have great tread but are old and starting to weather crack. As can be seen, it has a huge winch on the front, but not sure if it works. All in all, this would be a great Jeep to restore as a father/son/daughter project or just one to do slowly as time permits.
