1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the photos and read the entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4. The Jeep Grand Cherokee needs on introduction. It's reputation for rugged construction, reliability and off road capability are know the world over. I would rate the exterior of this Jeep to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking Jeep. She is finished in bright red with gray cladding over matching alloy wheels over gray interior. The red finish shines deep and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this Jeep. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the trim and cladding are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels have been upgraded with a good looking set of dark gray alloys from a Cherokee, which look great on this Grand Cherokee. Tire tread is average all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Grand Cherokee came in. I would also rate the interior of this Grand Cherokee to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight, with normal elbow wear showing on the driver's door arm rest. The dash and headliner are clean. It's also worth noting that the headliner is not falling down, or stapled up as is common with Jeeps of this age. The carpets show a few marks from age but are not worn excessively. The seats are clean and comfortable. Both front seats are power operated. The power windows, locks and seats all work properly. The original cassette stereo has been upgraded with an aftermarket CD player, which sounds good. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The heater works well but the air conditioner will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold air. The compressor does turn on and off, so hopefully just a charge will get her blowing snowballs again. The cargo area also shows a few marks from age, but is spacious and not excessively worn. Again, please take the time to check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in good running and driving condition. The desirable 4.0L inline six cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older Jeep. Aside from a few rattles in the front bushings, the suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. As with most older Jeeps, the front end wonders a little...but nothing replacing the aforementioned worn bushings won't fix. You'll probably have to take care of that for next inspection. Just don't expect a new Jeep, that's all. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. She makes good power and feels smooth. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts normally. This Jeep also has the desirable Select-Trac Part Time 4WD system...which is tested and working properly. Out on the highway, she gets down the road nice and smooth. This Grand Cherokee has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of January, 2018. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
