1983 Jeep CJ CJ8 Scrambler SL Description

The Scrambler is a 1983 SL (Laredo-version) and is near all-original, no modifications or lift. I bought this as a permanent Scrambler in Oct 2015 and shipped it from California to Dallas. This SL was a top-of-the-line Scrambler in 1983. However, I found and restored a 1985 Scrambler Laredo and am now listing this Scrambler.
Highlights:
Originally from California, it has the original straight 6-cylinder 258 engine with all the CA emissions still intact.
Has the factory 5-speed (T-5) factory transmission.Scrambler has 141,900 miles.
Paint is original classic black with original striping.Has some very light surface rust on the top of the tailgate where the paint is worn. That's it. Thank you California.The bed has a light liner on it. Something thinner than Rhino or Line-X.It has the original wood rails in excellent condition.Interior is original Laredo with only the center console and radio aftermarket.All the original gauges work great.Scrambler is stock height with 265/75/R15 (about 31"x10.5") tires.Has Jeep factory chrome wagon wheels (15x7) with a matching spare wheel.Located in Dallas.
