Condition:
Overall excellent condition for its age. Exterior has only a handful of very minor scratches/marks/dents that you have to look for to find. I regularly wash my vehicles with professional detailing soap, clay bar and wax twice a year, Griots spray on waxafter each wash and regularly clean and leather condition the interior. The paint is in excellent condition and always complimented on how great it looks when it is clean.
The interior is in overall excellent condition. Some minor stains on the carpet/headliner. Leather steering wheel shows wear. Driver seat has a small tear in the leather that has been patched (see pics). 90% of the time I was the only one in the vehicle so the backseat area is very clean.
It has only been in one accident since I've owned it (since 54K miles). The Jeep was parked in front of my house on an very icy morning and a lady in a minivan came creeping around the corner but the street was a sheet of ice and her van slid into the front driver side of the Jeep. Cook's Autobody in Normal, IL did all of the repair work (replaced front bumper, grill, driver headlight and it looked better after than it did before. No frame damage, no airbags deployed, no one was in the vehicle.
PLEASE NOTE - There is some rust on the rear passenger inside wheel well (when you open the door, see pictures). I applied POR15 rust converter and top-coated the area with OEM paint. The rust has bubbled and pitted somewhat but the POR/paint treatment seems to have kept it from spreading. The weld on the front driver door also started showing slight signs of corrosion so I applied POR/paint there as well and it has kept from getting any worse. I applied POR to some areas of the underbody as well as more of a preventative/cosmetic measure. There are some areas showing corrosion on the underbody but overall most appears to be surface level.
Drivability:
I assume most interested in a lifted Grand Cherokee with large mud-terrain tires expect this but I'll mention anyway. The tires do rub at full lockout as this was the trade off for getting 32" tires to fit. After a day of driving with the tires on I got used to this and it hasn't been an issue but figured I'd mention for those not familiar that this is sometimes the case with lifts/large tires. The vehicle drives quite smooth considering the lift and tires though. The suspension is stiffer than stock but that is due to the lift and struts/shocks. Alignment was performed right after I got the tires installed and was well within spec all around. On rougher roads there are some rattles/creaks but nothing unusual for its age.
The Gibson exhaust has an awesome sound - rumble at idles, slight roar at cruising and screams at WOT. It is a very refined, pleasant exhaust note in my opinion. The Jeep sounds very aggressive with the CAI and exhaust when you get on it. The programmer makes the Jeep drive like a totally different vehicle from stock. Shifting is quick but smooth and throttle is very responsive when you hit it. If you don't like this though, you can always reset the tune to stock, economy or whatever you like. Around my town, mileage is about 13MPG and up to 17MPG on the highway. This will obviously vary greatly based on your driving style.
