1995 Jeep Wrangler Description

***HAD TO RELIST! THIS CAR IS A 5 SPEED MANUAL!! IT IS STICKSHIFT.

*** PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION!!

Up for sale is my 1995 Black Jeep Wrangler. It's got the 4 Cylinder engine and 5 Speed Manual Transmission. I've had the car for a little over 2 years and have put less than 10,000 miles on it. And that's a safe bet, probably closer to 6-7K miles. It's got the removable hard top as well.

Since purchasing it, I have done the following:

· *Set of (4) new Goodyear Wrangler tires and alignment ($950)

· *Replaced part of the steering ($500)

· *Replaced air induction seal ($300)

· *Replaced water pump ($400)

· *Replaced factory ECM ($300)

· *Replaced floor pans on both sides ($350)

· *3 inch lift with new shocks ($550)

· *I'll throw in a new FM receiver which I haven't installed yet.

The car starts great and runs great on the highway.

Some of the issues that I've noticed: plenty of underside/frame rust, doors fit a little bit tight so locking it can be a pain, back latch lock doesn't work (rear door closes but you can't lock it).

I only drive the Jeep about 1-2 times a week during the summer for a quick trip to the suburbs or to get groceries, etc... If it's nice outside, I'll take the doors off and go for a ride. During the last 2 winters, I would start it up every few days and go for a ride around my neighborhood just to get it moving a little.

The reason I'm selling it is because I rarely drive it. I take public transportation to work daily. Besides my lack of time to drive it, I love the car to death.

Overall, I'm looking for a fair offer and I'm not desperate to sell it. Yes, it's an older car with rust but these older Wranglers hold their value well. At worst, I'll just store it for the winter and revisit this in spring. Please keep this in mind.

Lastly, if you'd like to look at it, please let me know. The car is in Chicago and I can arrange a time for you to come and look. It's at a friend's place, but he'll happily show it to you if I can't make it. Just let me know. Also, to be honest, I am not mechanically inclined and I do not work on cars. I'm a boring accountant. So please don't ask me mechanical questions because I can't answer them. If you're interested, please feel free to come take a look!
