1984 Land Rover Defender Description

Ah, the blessing and curses of eBay. Truck has been 'sold' twice only to have buyers back out. Couple comments here. Make sure you actually afford the truck before youcommitto buy it. If you really need to finance a 25 year old truck, get your financing in place BEFORE you bid. Your local bank will NOT finance these trucks because the VIN will not pull up in their system so they won't be able to put a value on it. Financing these types of trucks is not what they do. You can get a personal loan maybe but the rate will be high and secured to you personally. If you must finance these, go to JJ Best Bank or Woodside Bank online. They both specialize in financing these types of vehicles and I can help with the process. The point here though is to make sure you have everything in order BEFOREyoucommitto buy to avoid wasting everyone's time. This is also why deposits are non-refundable. I generally don't go off on these tangents but at this point, it's necessary as too much time has been wasted. Again, to restate again, serious inquires only please. Only bid if you HAVE the funds. Otherwise, I can point you in the direction of a nice 1980 beat up Ford pick up that you can maybe afford.....Ok, back to our regular scheduledprogramming......
Beautiful left hand drive 110 with very, very strong running 300 Tdi motor. You will not find as clean a truck like this anywhere in the States in this price range. The 300 Tdi will allows for great around town or highway driving and will comfortably run 70 mph without issue. Correct VIN is SALLDHMC8AA214855
Other than the motor, completely original truck in very nice shape. Interior is clean and tight. No rips or tears in the seating. Head liner is tight too. Foot wells are both solid. All gauges (other than the ones in the center) and switches work including signals, lights, wipers etc. All glass is perfect. One minor blemish on passenger side C pillar about the size of a quarter. New rubber mats throughout. Doors are perfect all the way around. Glass is clean and clear.
Structurally, truck is near perfect. Bulkhead is solid throughout. Frame is flawless as is rear cross member. Outriggers are perfect. All door frames are solid as well. Exhaust is tight and quiet.
I had the truck sanded down, minor body work performed to address a few dings and then resprayed. It is not a show quality paint job but still very, very nice. The tires and wheels are brand new, less than 20 miles on them.
300 Tdi motor installed here in the States. It runs incredibly strong and starts every time barely after turning the key. There is absolutely no smoke, like zero smoke after starting it. New timing belt, clutch, clutch cover and throw out bearing. Shifts very well and is smooth thru all the gears. Truck handles and brakes better than you would expect as well.
Trucks such as this one do not come around very often at all. The 300 Tdi is night and day compared to any 2.5 diesel or 3.5L V8. The power, acceleration and speed of this motor and truck is second to none from a Defender standpoint. This truck needs nothing to drive home and you will be hard pressed to find a 110 with a 300 in the States in this condition for this price. I just finished a 2 year long 110 project truck, otherwise, this one would be in my drivewaypermanently. If you have any questions, let me know. No low balls or tire kickers. If you have made it to the end of the listing, you know how rare trucks like this is. Thanks for reading and again, let me know what questions you have.
