2000 Land Rover Range Rover Description

One of a kind Range Rover P38 HSE needs a new home. This Rover has been a wonderful addition to our Family, and over the years has taken us safely to the Mountains through Blizzards, along old Covered Wagon Train trails in Northern Nevada, and the Dunes of Pismo Beach. Alas, family members grow, times change, skill sets evolve and adventures take a different direction. So, we have made the decision to put our Rangie up for sale in hopes that another Family will purchase her and make as many wonderful memories as our family has made.

What she is made of:

2000 Range Rover HSE - Black

114,738.7 Miles as of this post

Sand Leather Interior - great condition

5" Custom Coil Spring lift - air suspension replacement. Rides great, super flexible.

Custom Front and Rear Heavy Duty Bumpers. Rear Bumper conceals a Rear Winch

Megawinch: Front 9000 pound Stainless Steel and Aluminum with two speed transmission - my favorite accessory!

T-Max 10,000 pound Winch with Synthetic rope. Enclosed in Rear bumper to keep Ultra Violet light off Rope, and to make a great seat

Sliders - custom heavy duty

Custom Tom Woods Drive Shafts

Kodiak Industries Dual Battery Kit - not real happy with my wiring job

Kodiak Industries Winch Manager to allow shut off of DC power to external accessories. If you have ever seen a winch you can't shut off, you know how great this is.

Kodiak Industries Front and Rear Heavy Duty Jumper Cable Hook Ups with 20' Heavy Duty Cables

Rear, internal Mounted 1800 Watt DC to AC Inverter - I used it to run a Microwave on the Trail.

ACRO HID Pencil Beam Driving lights wired to OEM Dash Switches

PIAA Fog Lights wired to OEM Dash switches

Side, Rear mounted PIAA Driving lights set as side backup lights - second favorite accessory

33" Toyo M/T Open Country Tires - about 30,000 miles on them. Would say they are about at 2/3 of their life

Wet Okole Neoprene Seat covers for the Back Seats - Red and Black with piping

Single working clicker - in good shape

Rancho Shocks

Pull Pal Winch Anchor

Yakima Ski Rack

All fluids: Oil, Transmission, Coolant, Brakes, and Diffs replace with Amsoil Synthetic in 2003. Replace on regular service intervals - always

Replace original Transfer Case at 75,000 miles

Known Issues:

Drips like a LandRover of this age

Console LED's for Temp and Fan speed setting are about half gone. All the controls work, just not the lights

HVAC Blend doors don't work right. Thus, the Drivers side only blows AC, cold air. I just shut the vents when I want heat

Console Drivers side rear window switch only brings the Drivers side rear window up. Door switch works fine. All other switches work.

There is an SRS Airbag fault that has been there since I bought the vehicle in 2003. I have had it looked at numerous times with no resolution. I have been told it is the Seat Side Air Bag on the Passenger side

Factory CD Player does not work. Radio works Great

I don't have the Western US CD for the Navigation system

Runs hot when it is above 95 degrees F.

Bun warmers never worked

Side mirror heaters never worked

When I had the front bumper done, they did not install a Window Washer system. Thus, no window squirters. Would be an easy mod.

The OEM jack doesn't work

Tires sometimes rub at full lock. Odd that it is only sometimes.

Things I would do if I was going to keep her:

Replace the stock Radiator with a new one of the new after-market Aluminum Heavy Duty Radiators. I have seen them priced at about $600. Ready for Death Valley or the Baja

Service the Head Gaskets - the dripping issue

Replace the LED lights on the console for the Temp controls.

Clean out the Sun Roof drains. I have to do this every year.

Replace the stock Lead Acid Batteries with the Odyssey Dry Cells I used to have.

Things on the Fun list

Compressor - the original tank and lines for the air suspension are still there, so would make a cool mod

Off-Road shower

Anything else I could imagine

Does she need a little work? Yes.

Is she a great Range Rover? DEFINITELY!

Asking $10,000.
