1995 Land Rover Discovery SE7 Description

Solid, rust-free 1995 LandRover Discovery Series 1, in SEVEN SEATER configuration ( SE7). This Discovery is a solid, completely rust-free ONE-OWNER California Land Rover, residing here its entire life since being sold newbyLR of Ahaheim in Southern CA. It originally belonged to a movie producer who retired to the Santa Cruz mountains ten years ago (where it has resided since), here in the Northern CA Bay area.
This Discovery isa Series 1 in SE-7 trim, completely stock andoriginal. SUPER LOW 106K original miles, extremely low for any Land Rover. It starts, idles and driveswell, quietly and smoothly on both town and on the highway.
There isNO rust nor corrosion on this vehicle, nor anywhere else as it would be expected from any California-lived Discovery ( hard-pressed condition to find in any Land Rover beyond the Sierra mountains). BEWARE OF RUST BUCKETS COMING FROM THE EAST COAST~! ( it's beyond me why anyone would want to buy an East coast car with potential hidden rust ).
This Discovery 1 comesequipped with most standard features and amenities available at that time. Clean factory-optionalBoost alloy wheels, along with an average set ofradial tires mounted on them ( with approximately 70% tread remaining).
Normal coil and strut suspension, thus NO NIGHTMARISH EAS (air suspension) to contend with, an extremely troublesome and very expensive issue to repair.NO air-deflation nightmares ever! Early Discovery Series I are the most desirable to own, with the limited availability of the desirable Central Differential Lock.
Stock 3.9L engine runs very well, same motor as in the Range Rover Classics. As it is well documented in all Land rover circles, these motors were avast improvement over the earlier 3.5 engines as they were veryrobust and had more torque as a result of engine redesigning to increase displacement to a more efficient, reliable motor.
NO overheating issues, ticking nor noises to contend with. NONE.Automatic transmission shifts well into all gears.Four-wheel Power disc brakes brake smoothly without pulsation. The usual Antilock comes on and off ast random as they all do. It's been like that for the last couple ofyears, with no changes to braking capacity. Power steering and Power windows ( all four work), Power mirrors,Powerheated seats, cruise control, stereo andcold A/C.
Finish is its original Beluga black factory finish. Still shines quite nicely. I had the hood and roof refinished last year as it had the usual fading from the passing of time. The body, chassis, undercarriage and every single angle and seam are super solid considering this classic is twentytwo years young !
This original Discovery Series I is sold unrestored, and the opening bid more than reflects that, at a quarter of what a finished, restored DI would cost.
There is NO oxidation of the clearcoat on thehood or roof, a common ailment on many Rovers, specially East Coast examples where the elements and salted roads have taken their toll on the body panels and undercarriage, a hindrance nearly impossible to repair!
Its original Connolly upholstery is in very good condition and has held up very well.I had the front seats reupholstered, and they came out nicely. There are no cracks or tears on any of the leather in the seats.Overall, aclean interior and door panels.
The photos show the Discovery accurately. NON SMOKER vehicle, ever. A very solid, rust-free unrestored classic 1995Land Rover, with better-than-average miles and a good 3.9L engine. It runs well with a strong, solid powertrain.Clean chassis, no tweaks and NO rust and nice interior. It will make an excellent restoration candidate, great traveler, camping vehicle or just a fun Land Rover to drive aroundas it is.
I've been around Land Rovers for over 30 years, and have owned various models and vintages.Unlike the vast majority of sellers who simply sell what they do not know ( let alone car dealers!), Iown a Land Rover ( actually, I own four:a SWB, a 2010 Sport and twoDiscovery IIs, including a 2000 DII TreK) and I am fairly familiar with all their quirks.
Feel free to call me with questions at (650) 430-4660 PST. I have priced this Discovery way below market to sell.Land Rovers are the best investment for the money, specially the examples with the desirable CDL system and a Seven-seater to boot.
I am also advertising this vehicle in other venues, and as such, I reserve the right to end this listing at any time, should a buy-it-now offer present itself. Rust-free Discovery 1s are getting harder and harder to find without them being all rusted out, a ton of miles on them, or having to pay a premium for a restored example, usually starting at around $15K.
Payment to be received within THREE business days please. It can be made via Cashier's check or money order(s). Business, Personal or Annuity checks may also be utilized but mustclear first prior to any transportation arrangements being made. An alternate way is bank wire transfer to our local CHASE Bank branch here in town. It expedites the process considerably and allows for faster shipping arrangements.Upon receipt of payment, I will mail the CA title and bill of sale via USPS Priority mail with tracking information.
I will be glad to assist coordination transportation/ delivery of the Discovery anywhere nationwide or overseas at the most reasonable rate available. NOTE: Do not go by the Ebay calculator. It can ship for under $1000 anywhere to the East coast. Closer less of course.
Feel free to EM me with pertinent questions or serious inquiries. Thank you for your interest ~!
