Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowlege and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2001 Lexus LS430. The LS is and has been the flagship of the Lexus brand since its inception. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I personally am a Mercedes-Benz fan. My personal driver is almost always a Merc. However, I have to admit that Lexus got it right with the LS. These cars are rock solid, smooth as silk and whisper quiet. I would rate the exterior of this LS430 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this Lexus, the only noteworthy items are a little bit of fade on the bumper tops and damage to the left exterior mirror housing. The black finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. The glass and lenses are all intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a matching set of rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this LS430 looks.
I would rate the interior of this LS430 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. When you open the doors, you are immediately greeted by a graciously appointed interior. The door panels are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. Throughout the interior, there are light wood veneer accents which look great against the light interior. The leather seating is supple and comfortable, showing only minimal wear. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The only bad things I can point out about this LS430 are two items. The first is that the drivers window is a little lazy and sometimes requires a little patience to put up. The other is that the radio won't power on. I haven't looked into it. With those two exceptions, everything inside this Lexus works as it should. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Lexus really got it right with these cars. They are so well built, well mannered and elegantly understated. The interior is virtually silent...well insulated from the outside world. The automatic climate control system is fully automatic and offers independent temperature control for the driver and passenger. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The heater works properly and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The trunk is spacious and clean. Interior room is excellent from front and rear passengers. Please take your time to check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Lexus looks. A full set of books and manuals, as well as the original $60,000 window sticker, are included.
Mechanically, this Lexus appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.3L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good. The suspension feels tight and well sorted, with minimal bushing wear evident. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. The Lexus V8 is one of the smoothest engine's I've ever seen. Between the smoothness of the engine, smoothness of the suspension and library-like silence of the interior, it is easy to forget that you're driving a car. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts perfectly with no issues. According to the markings in the engine bay, the timing belt service has been done on schedule so you won't have to worry about that for a while. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. This LS430 has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of April, 2016. I get maybe a few of these LS's a year, at best. If you are looking for a car you can put thousands and thousands and thousands of miles on with remarkable reliability and complete comfort, a Lexus LS should be at the top of your list. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
