Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1998 Lexus GS400 with just 142k miles. The GS400 was a rather ground breaking vehicle. It even enjoyed brief fame as the fastest production sedan (until the M5 came out in 2000. I would rate the exterior of this GS400 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. This Lexus is finished in Alpine Silver over Gray leather. The finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. The worst thing I can say about the exterior of this Lexus is that the rear spoiler on the trunk lid has a crack in it. Other than that, just a few normal marks and small flaws here and there. All of the trim and cladding are present and show well. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. The alloy wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in nice rubber with average tread all around. All of the glass and lenses are intact. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior of this GS400 to bein BELOW AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards show well and are tight. The carpets have a few marks from age and could probably benefit from a good cleaning. The dash and headliner are clean. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The seats are clean, comfortable and show minimal wear for their age. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The original audio system has been upgraded with an aftermarket system that has a full touch screen. I haven't really looked into what all it can do, but it looks pretty cool. Everything seems to be working properly. The climate control system is fully automatic and also appears to be working properly. The heater works properly and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. My only real complaint about the interior is that I can tell this was a smoker's car. I've been in far worst cars...this one isn't bad, but you can smell it. I've done exactly nothing to clean this car, aside from just washing it off to get good quality photos. I'm sure an hour or two of cleaning (and maybe a can of ozone) would do wonders. Mechanically, this Lexus appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I haven't noticed any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older car. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. Again, this is a seriously quick car. The ABS/VSC lights stay on. Otherwise, there have been no idiot lights on. The five speed automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. This Lexus GS400 has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of October, 2017.
