2001 Lexus RX Description

Hello and thanks for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledg and ability. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.

Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2001 Lexus RX300 AWD with just 138k miles. I would rate the exterior of this RX300 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a sharp looking SUV. It is finished in a two tone silver and gray exterior over black leather interior, which is an excellent color combination. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific vehicle, there is a small dent on the driver's door but nothing major to report. The finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. All of the cladding and trim show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and tail gate open and close easily. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with average tread all around. The xenon HID headlights do an excellent job at lighting up the road in front of you. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Lexus looks.

I would rate the interior of this Lexus to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, the interior looks to have been very well cared for. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash and headliner are clean. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. Both front seats are power operated and heated. Throughout the interior, the leather seats show almost no wear and are extremely supple and comfortable. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds good. There is a factory CD changer in the glove box, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works well but I believe the air conditioner will need charged for next season. The cargo area is spacious and clean, too.

Mechanically, this Lexus appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 3.0L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and makes good power. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight. My only complaint with this whole truck would be a slight shimmy in the steering wheel at highway speeds. It isn't bad or anything...just something I noticed during my road test. I'd drive this Lexus anywhere without a second thought. In fact, I think highly enough of this Lexus that I loaned it to my mother for a week while her Volvo was in for annual state inspection. If you're looking for a clean RX that hasn't been all used up and worn out, this low mileage RX300 deserves your serious consideration. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
