The car was purchased new by my uncle and I purchased it from my cousin approximately 20 years ago. It now has 78,000 miles on it. Below is the condition of the car. Once the rear brake line is repaired I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it anywhere.
The top goes up and down slowly. It does need a new top. The top has one hole in it and the edges are worn. I mainly keep it in the down position. In the last twenty years since it has been in my possessionI have driven it 5000 miles. Before that my uncle had bought it brand new and had 2 of them . Three years ago I had it rebuilt from the radiator to the tailpipe. It developed a rear brake line leak last summer so I haven't driven it since last year. I do start it once a month weather permitting and let it run for 30 minutes. It was stripped and repainted 20 years ago. The paint is average. Cosmetically it needs restoration. Mechanically once the brake line is fixed it would run anywhere. It runs now on unleaded since the motor and heads were rebuilt with hardened valve seals. Rebuilt transmission and mounts. Exhaust new. My mechanic had Lincoln Land in Florida re manufacture and send him a lot of parts. I had the radio/ eight track rebuilt 10 years ago.
Leather is slightly faded with no holes. Rust bubble on lower left rear door. The body is solid. Tires new 4 years ago. I have the shop manual for it as I thought it would help the mechanic as he was going through the car. Air conditioning does not work.
