2003 Lincoln Aviator Description

2003 Lincoln Aviator AWD...serviced on schedule by local Ford dealer and myself...never wrecked... never abused...driven off pavement only on a few rare occasions.
The Aviator drives great, handles well, and has the Cobra 32V 4.6 engine with 308 HP.
I'm the 2nd owner and she was bought with 48,000 miles on her in 2005.
Currently, about 147,000 miles on the body, with about 58,000 miles on a new 4.6 installed in 2009.
Original transmission and driveline...original paint, interior etc.
GOOD: Truck was mostly used for wife's transportation to and from work, about a five mile drive both ways, and for out of town trips...It's taken us from texas to Arkansas and from texas to Arizona numerous times.
AC works fine, all accesories work (not sure on seat heat...it seemed not so warm last time we checked it)Back seats and the 3rd row seats are almost perfect...Rear area was always covered, so the carpet was saved from getting soiled and the doors and the rockers are in the great condition...the running baord are also like new.
Tires are fresh and the wheels are in perfect condition.
Doors are good, windows are tinted professionally, there is a hook up for a Cobra CB radio (radio and antenna comes with truck) Moon roof works great...auto windows operate correctly.
BAD: Battery was dead when I went to check mileage...has been sitting for about 4 weeks.
There is an overheating issue with the cooling system...We've replaced the water pump, thermostat and the radiator has been checked (was replaced in 2009) and we still can't figure out why it overheats...Local Ford dealer has checked the engine and there is no cracked head/block etc...engine is good. Something is causing th eenbgine to overheat...the last item to check was the heatercore, but my job required I travel ASAP, and I broke down and got an Explorer, a year or two earlier than we'd really wanted to...so now, we're selling the Aviator.
I believe my Foo Fighters CD is stuck in the CD player...
UGLY: There are a few minor issues with the exterior, but all from age and wear...not neglect.
The rear hatch has the all too familiar "cracked panel" that many Explorers and Aviators suffer from...These were glued down and water would get behind th epanel and door...the water freezes and cracks the panel...I planned to replace this panle and have one in a box that comes with the Aviator.
The front grille has one blade broken and there is some color loss from drive through car washes...
There are 2 small "up dents" in the hood from the hydralic hinges failing and falling on a job in progress...the hinges are replpaced and brand new.
There are a few door chips...
Truck is a Kansas/Texas truck and has been very well cared for and serviced over the years...interior is in very good condition.
I'd keep the truck and get this overheating issue dealt with but the wife has a new vehicle and the driveway is full...She served us very well, and we hate to sell her, but the time has come to pass the Aviator on to someone else who will enjoy her.
The Aviator is a great truck, but due to the overheating issue, I wouldn't drive this truck home...I'd have it trailered/transported.
