1972 Lincoln Continental Coupe 2 Door 460 V8
1972 Lincoln Continental Description
For sale is a 1972 Lincoln Continental coupe 2 door with 25,966 miles ( unknown if this is actual mileage ), just shipped in from Georgia. The car was originally from South Carolina and was purchased from an auction in Georgia. This vehicle has been a southern car its entire life. The body is very solid in places, the original owner did however apply touch up paint to the exterior to hide rust spots, see pictures for details. The vinyl roof will need to be replaced due to moisture getting behind the roof and vinyl. The bottom of the roof line is soft and I do not know the extent of the rotting. The frame is very solid with very minimal surface rust underneath. The body is solid and is still salvageable just needs someone who has the time to bring this car back to life. This Continental is equipped with the 460 V8 big block, leather seats ( still in really good condition ), power windows, power mirrors, power locks, power seats, cruise control, and working factory radio( doesn't sound that great but still works ). The headlight doors do not currently open and the driver's side window will stick when rolled down all the way.
Does run and drive but will need some brake work before it can become road worthy, I believe the right front brake caliper is not making contact to the rotor. The motor fires right up without assistance, has good power, and the automatic transmission shifts nice and smooth. This car would make a great base for a restoration or a great air ride car with some nice wheels. It can be inspected or test driven for a short distance prior to placing a bid. Call or text me with any questions 440-477-8054. I have additional pictures which can be provided upon request. Its located at my shop in Mentor, Ohio which is about 20 minutes east of Cleveland, Ohio. This vehicle is being sold AS IS with no expressed or implied warranty. I would strongly recommend towing this vehicle when purchased, it has been sitting for some time and will need some fine tuning. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipment, I can assist with locating a shipping company if needed. A non-refundable deposit of 500 dollars through PayPal is due within 48 hours of the winning bid, no exceptions. A low reserve has been set, good luck bidding!!!!!!!!! I have sold several vehicles on eBay, my feedback speaks for itself, bid with confidence!!!!!!!!!!!
