2003 Lincoln Aviator Base Sport Utility 4-Door Description

We have enjoyed this SUV. Family trips with room for the kids and their friends. Most the mileage is from distance driving to campgrounds and theme parks. Now that the kids are older and have their own cars, we find the need for a family SUV has declined. Just put tires on it earlier this year.
There are a few things that I am aware of that needs attention.
1. The cruse control is intermittent. Sometimes it will set and sometimes it won't. 2. It smells. Kids, candy and pets have left their odor. You may want it professional cleaned. 3. Like all Aviators and Explorers of this era,there is a crack in the molding in the back (pictured) 4. Yours truly was driving at night and took a turn too tight and hit a pole. (Pass side pictured) 5. Motor sometimes loses power with engine light on. My mechanic got a P0307 code.
He says it probably needs a tune-up and/or coil packs. It runs so I haven't bothered to get this fixed since I hardly drive it anymore. I have used Mobil 1 oil since I have owned the Aviator and only premium gas. It has been a very useful and joyful SUV for our family and I am sad to see it go. I will drive it to the Ferrum Post Office for the winner of the auction to pick-up.
