2005 Lotus Elise
2005 Lotus Elise Description
This is a really cool great looking Lotus Elise. The paint color is a Racing Green. It's not too flashy but not the same old black or silver or other standard color. The car drives great. It is very low to the ground. It has a 4 cylinder motor and 6 speed automatic transmission. There is a collar on the gear shift that you lift up in order to put the car into reverse.
I bought this on eBay. The car was previously maintained by Auto Europe Inc in Birmingham, MI. I have all the service records from Auto Europe. I've done nothing to the car except put in gas. It takes premium only. The car has been in 2 accidents per the CarFax report. It appears that Auto Europe did all of the repairs. There is an extensive service history.
Some of the noteworthy repairs and service from Auto Europe are:Shock, oil changes, wiper blades, 15,000 maintenance check, hard top seals, replace muffler, replace A/C condenser line and heater blower motor, replace 6 speed transmission at 38k miles (while still under warranty), new clutch at 38k miles, new tires at 38k miles, new front clamshell and partial paint in 2011, new radiator.
The car always starts. It runs great. There are no oil, water or exhaust leaks. It has typical wear and tear for a car this age. There are chips on the wheels, there are some paint flaws. There are some chips on the front spoiler and some in front of the back wheel housings. There is some wear on the seats. These flaws to me make this a daily driver. I'm not too worried about messing something up on this car as it is not perfect. Makes it more fun to drive when you don't worry. I do not abuse the car or take it for granted. I'm very careful with it when bringing it into a driveway as it is very low to the ground and I have scraped a little on one or two occasions which obviously I don't want to do. This one is in very good condition I would say.
This has a hard top and a soft top. This has a clear title, meaning it's not a salvage title and I own the car outright.
I have driven it about 400 miles since I've owned it. I've been on a long road trip and have had it on the interstate. It is very quick and gets up to 60 in decent time. It can easily get up to 115 (that's as fast as I took her) without a problem and in a decent time. It's very quick even at high speeds. It has a Blaupunkt radio with a CD player. There's 4 Blaupunkt speakers and they sound fine but it's nothing to brag about. It's a spartan interior, very basic. It is not a luxury vehicle. The trunk space is small. There is no front hood to open. All lights work. Windshield wiper works. A/C works. Power windows work. The car came perfect and ready for the road from Auto Europe. The tires appear to be in good condition with good tread for this type car and this type of tire.
This car is sold as-is with no implied or express warranty. What you see is what you get.
