Lotus Elise 2005
2005 Lotus Elise Description
My wonderful 2005 Lotus Elise! 2nd owner from new. I bought it from the original owner who ordered and took delivery in December 2004 in Houston Texas. The original owner put all the miles on it from new as since I purchased October 2015, I may have put 1000 miles on it. Got tired of just looking at it and with several vehicles insured I've decided to allow this one to move on. It's insured by Haggerty which allows substantial savings for insurance if you give testament that the car will not be tracked. I've never tracked the car. This past winter the car set and the Odyssey battery went down. I charged back up and the check engine light came on. Apparently the Elise 'lost' itself and would not recognize it's vin number. I just serviced the car with British Automotive and it has been serviced. I had the synthetic oil changed with new filter. The brake system was flushed and new fluid added. The coolant was flushed and serviced. The check engine light involved Lotus Plano Texas which required the ECM to be re-programmed to recognize the VIN number which means the codes are all cleared and the ECM is reprogrammed. That takes care of the check engine fault, but note to buyer...keep a battery tender on the car if you store for a period of time. So, she's all fluffed up and ready to go. If you buy cars you will appreciate that there is every document including the original sales receipt and all the documentation since new except tire purchases. I purchased this car from a friend and he was meticulous in record keeping, servicing, recalls, and maintenance. Every receipt is there and every service record is there plus a few upgrades like the heater by pass valve that looks totally stock with a push pull switch on the fan button. This is the base Elise but pictured and included is the hard top plus the canvas fold up top is included. I believe the color is called Nightfall Blue... The tires are in really good condition and in 2012 the brake system was up-rated with DBA slotted/drilled rotors, EBC Yellowstuff brake pads front and rear, plus the SSC Rear Toe Brace Kit. Receipts included. These are very special cars and this one is particularly being a Texas car from new. There is some road rash around the rear wheel panel and on in particular is pretty deep. There is a ding on the drivers entrance as well. BID ACCORDINGLY. I have not listed locally so your bid is honored without having to worry about me pulling the sale of eBay. I LOVE buying cars that comes with 5 pounds of documentation from new and the buyer will also appreciate the detailed records. There's a few extra bits like cup holder, license plate bracket, and X panel for the rear not pictured but are included...
